Default I think people are making a big mistake....

Now before I go ahead with this I just want to make clear I have not chosen who I feel will win the upcoming Hatton/Pacquiao bout, It is tough to call...

I just do not understand why soo many people are giving Hatton so little credit? This man is undefeated at 140lbs, he has been the divisions King since he beat Tszyu without question....

He has been perhaps the most dominate 140lb champion since Pryor in my opp...(Pryor was just an animal until the drugs got to him.. A 140lb fighter with the intimidation factor of any heavyweight champion)

Hatton has only been beaten by PBF no shame in that by far...(Hatton's style was Tailor made for PBF)....

Why so much doubt in him?
I think people are selling Ricky a bit short...No make that WAAAY to short in this fight....

I like both fighters and I am not sure who will win this one...I do know that Hatton is being treated like a second rate journeyman when it comes to the odds he is being given

    Not fair to the Hitman....

A little too much Pacquiao fever not enough using the old noggin when matching up the strengths and weaknesses

I have to agree with you here. I figure hatton for a loss on this one, but if so not by much. hatton is a hell of a fighter, and deserves the respect of the boxing community. Win or loss, styles make fights and this one is a great matchup. Cant wait to see it.

I agree completely Daxx. In my mind the fight is 60/40 in favor of Pacquiao, but that makes it far from a foregone conclusion. I think most people probably feels it's a pick 'em fight. The people that I've seen blindly supporting Pacquiao without giving any valid reasons are quite simply idiots; they just happen to be very vocal idiots. I think people are also reading a little too much into Pac's victory over ODH, though I readily admit it was a very impressive performance.

I'm very intigued by this fight and I can't wait for May 3.

People here are fully aware that I and 38 other members of this board pick PAC to inflict the worst beating ever on Hatton...

PAC was the former king at 112, 126 and 130 divisions and this early 2 rankings organizations (FightNews and BoxRec) already recognized PAC as the man at 140 lbs. division ... PAC ruled 3 different divisions to Hatton's 1 division...

Yes it's true Hatton's arm length is too short in this fight... Hatton's arm length is only 20 inches compared to 25 inches that of PAC...

Style (same as skills) - PAC
    ...................Stance - PAC (southpaw)
    ..................Stamina - PAC
    .......................Chin - PAC (slightly)
    .....................Heart - PAC
    ..............Experience - PAC
    ....................Reach - PAC
    ...........Height/Taller - PAC
    Quality of Opponents - PAC
    .......Ring Generalship - PAC
    .........Corner/Trainer - PAC

I've said all along that the ref will have a big influence on this fight. If the Ref controls this fight in a similiar way to how the Hatton/Tszyu fight was then Ricky has a great shot at winning. Like it or not I think the Hitmans biggest chance is if he is able to bully Pac around the ring, push, wrestle low blow etc. If the ref is quick to break up any clenching and forces a lot of outside fighting then Hatton is done.

Have to agree. If Pacquiao is expected to duplicate Mayweathers plan and execution.....I think some are sipping the kool-aid hard & fast.Might just be setting the bar abit high. For starters I think their respective mind sets are totally different.I have no problem with Pacquiao...the man is a warrior and willing comer.Floyd is one of the smoothest sharpshooters and able movers defensively we have known in recent memory. Two different animals respectively.I dont see Pac falling back, sliding off,re setting and timing Hattons guaranteed assault with blinding angles.Dont think he'll have that luxury.I think when he gets hit...and both will get hit.....Pacquiao will get into an inside battle as it gos rounds. He'll stand ground and I believe that affords Hatton every chance he needs.

Let me check......................yep,SB has already come in and went all stat nutty on us.

Pac is a power punching southpaw, he's got good handspeed and great timing...but #1 Ricky Hatton has very little to lose, it's a big money fight but if Ricky was to win what would there be left for him to do?!?! #2 The big time megafights (in this case anything including Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr.) sometimes get postponed or canceled because of fate/a fighter who has been overlooked.

Manny SHOULD whip up on Ricky but come fight night you never know what can happen and I wouldn't be shocked if Ricky scored a KO, just as I wouldn't be shocked if Pac stopped Ricky.....if he did it with 1 shot it would surprise me but if Pac wore him down it wouldn't be out of the ordinary.

Great fighters, lousy fans.....should be a nice fight to watch without being close to the computer

Indeed. Though I find Hatton fans (since the Mayweather loss) to be infinitely more tolerable than Pac fans.
