As for his last fight, its clear that Monte Barrett had plaster in his gloves. Nobody delivers a knockout punch like that to Tye without assistance.

Its a shame that others obviously go to the Margarito School of Boxing....but at least trainers are aware to look for it now and another incident of this nature will never happen again.

That's the funniest thing I ever read on here except maybe Kid Thunder's biography.
I know! When I read that, I was sure he had his tongue planted firmly in his cheek. Now, I'm trying figure out if he was serious after all or if he's just still foolin'?

I was hoping that this topic would have been covered last night on FNF...but not a mention of this big card next month? Maybe it will be discussed during the coverage tonight of the Dawson-Tarver fight?

I did find the following article regarding his comeback for those who are interested (although it doesn't mention anything about TV coverage)

    edmontonsun.com - Other Sports - Fields' dream

Even Gerry Cooney is a Tye Fields fan (and no one should be able to recognize talent in the division like another former contender within the division)

This has to be a wind up, but damn is it funny

I don't think even Tye Fields' mum would compare him to Mayweather & Pacquiao

I did find out a little more information about the plans for the card here.....

TYE FIELDS RETURNS, GOING FOR WBCNA TITLE JUNE 20 IN NEW HOMETOWN OF EDMONTON | Boxing News, Results, & Rankings - 15rounds.com

However, still no mention of the television plans. I wonder if a bidding war between networks is taking place and no contract has been awarded yet?

Two threads in two years, impressive, the first was best but I could just be sentimental

Anyway I would PM Trainer Monkey personally as he's been on the phone for days wrapping this up

you could always find a stream though I guess that would be taking money out of Tye's mediocre pocket

    Mediocre?

Well as far as fields is concerned

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIswW0YTgTY

The brothers Klit would probably beat him quicker than Barret did.

He should be looking for a rematch with Monte before he mentions the names Wladimir or Vitali ever again.

You see, I am all cool with the fact that you're a Field's fan. I am not personally though I think his trainer, Jesse Reid, is probably one of the most honest person in the business, read countless things on him, load of integrity here. However, I think that you do exaggerate a a bit when you talk about a bidding war to get him on the screen. The guy's not a top 10 yet and lost his most significant match, normally there is no bidding war at this stage. It's good that you're such enthusiast about him especially as not many persons over here are but keep a bit of balance in your judgment, the guy is as close of a bidding war to be seen in the ring as me. I wish him all the best though and it would be interesting if he could stir up things and bring some excitements to the HW house.
