i still think he and Billy are a good team mate what they have done has worked succesfully all through his career and to change stuff now would be mad IMO... there is a secont trainer there i think but the body belt sessions have become part of his ritual.
he got beat by the better guy last time out simple as that and there is no shame in losing to Mayweather.
Too late for change IMO | You see here I have mixed feelings.
For a long time I've wondered about the natural talent : Trainer ratio that was involved in forging Hatton. In this instance I see Graham availing of Ricky's natural physicality and stamina in order to win fights, so I hasve to say that the wins are down to Ricky's gene's.
As for the change issue, now is the time he has to change. MAB elongated his career by boxing, now Hatton needs to.
Graham hasn't brought Hatton on any in 4 years |
is that not because the level he has been fighting is top
look at Naz he was 7 when he started to train with Brendan Ingle they had a bond... then the split come and Naz went with one of the best trainers in the game Manny Stweard.
he tried to work on making Naz more conventional and it fucked up what made him great his unpredictabillity of where the shots where coming from and where he would be to hit etc.
sometimes teamwork finds a jell and become succesful because of it.... Hatton might have lernt the game in a whole different way without Billy and it might not have had half the success
hes said hes got 3 fights left and i just think its too late to start messing about with what got him to the top in the first place.
