This is a period in time where the welterweight class is clearly the "heavyweight" class of boxing.

A Mayweather Jr. win over Juan Manuel Marquez is questionable.

This is definetly no tune-up. I wouldn't be surprised though to see an early stoppage. Marquez does get knocked down alot in recent big fight's. I think Mayweather is just too big and fast now. I am hoping that Mayweather will have ring rust and Marquez to drag this into the championship rounds where I do think Marquez does the most damage. My head say's Mayweather but my gut and heart say Marquez.

One things for sure is that Marquez is pretty excellent at slowing someone down. Now I know that Diaz probably started to punch himself out a little, but Marquez's body work is very very good. Defo got the ability to slow down Mr Mayweather like no one has before.

The way I see it, Marquez might be smaller, but i don't believe Mayweather has faced anyone as good as Marquez in the World Class quality department since he fought Castillo. And that is a long time back. Just hope its not a chess match from Mayweather. Although, I think Mayweather will definately be looking at letting some leather fly seen as he is the slightly bigger guy.
