I give the fight to Eddie easy. | I think he was scared of having a point deducted or maybe Dimitrenko acting got to him. A few more clean bodyshots and Dimitrenko would have been gone. | Yeah, I guess he could have been worried, but he still should have kept with it, he was hurting him good with those body shots.
I bet everyone that will be fighting Dimitrenko in the future, will now be body hunting after watching this fight. | Eddie seems to be too nice in the ring. When he hit him with that body shot, where Dimitrenko just turns his back and walks away from him, Chambers followed him and then stares at the ref like, "should I continue on."? If the ref doesn't stop the action, most fighters would have run at him and hit him with everything but the kitchen sink, Chambers looked like he was waiting for permission. |

Punch Power: 300 | | Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko I watched the first eight rounds and honestly just got to borred with the fight, didn't find a single round to give to dimitrenko...and dimitrenko better watch out if he turns his back like that or just starts walking away without the ref stopping the action he might get hurt cause some fighters wouldn't be as gentelmanly like in there as eddie was. |

I was thinking maybe Dimitrenko could control distance and pace with his height and reach, BUT after remembering his troubles with Luan Krasniqi I figured Eddie Chambers' counters might do something to him, because inspite of Eddie being short and rotund he punches pretty good.
That was basically a poor man's Wladimir Klitschko that Eddie Chambers just took out, tall, rangey, upright style....sure he didn't have the accuracy, power, smarts, or strength of Wladimir but Eddie just showed that size doesn't matter to him.
Dimitrenko would have been a good fight for any of the heavyweight contenders just to prepare them for the size of Wladimir or Vitali

Punch Power: 551 | | Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko Dimi is not that bad, but for a big guy, his jab is wanting. Chambers did everything right. It was his perfect storm. As I thought might happen, his hand speed generated more power and rocked Dimi to the point where he became very tentative and began backing up. EC then went on the stalk and closed off the ring on him.

I didn't think Eddie would win let alone dominate. Props to Fast Eddie.

Punch Power: 554 | | Re: Chambers vs Dimitrenko I finally seen the fight on Sunday. I must say I was impressed. I think the Povetkin fight was kind of a fluke and I believe this is the real Chambers. I can definetly seeing him take on the big names of the division. Although I can not see him beating either Klitschko. I can see him beating Arreola and Haye and in a pretty convincing fashion. A rematch between Povetkin and Chambers I can see Chambers winning.
