pacfans, what do you think?
i think pac should challenge the 147 belt legitimately at 147, not on some catch weight! pac can be a 7th weight title holder in the process and turn his legacy into a greater one.
on the other hand some are worried that the disparity of pac and cotto's weight during fight night would be too much for pac, that's why some think that "draining" cotto more on 144-145 is somewhat justifiable. yet what would his critics think of pac doing this? of course they would say it's a cowardly act! but remember: pac's ntural body mass is a featherweight's. yet to get cotto's belt of 147 in a catchweight of 144-145 is not really a noble act imo.
pac should fight cotto at 147, and i think pac also has a chance because of his speed. why can't team pacquiao see this?

I am for 147 too. But I have no problem with the catchweight as of now either. Guys, I dont think Pac has really tested the waters at 147 with the DLH fight and Roach is well aware of that. Pac is still young, he's still at his peak, and he will eventually get that TRUE welterweight belt.

I don't mind the catchweight. I really think people just forget or are sipping on that haterade, Pacquiao was fighting as a junior lightweight last year! I think 145 was a perfect weight for the catch weight. Cotto only needs to lose 2 pounds while Pacquiao gains 5. Pac is the big dog, it seems right to me.

If the title is on the line, I won't respect it unless it's at 147. You want the welterweight championship, you fight at the welterweight limit.

well, i want the 147 title that cotto has, so pac can do a henry armstrong, bagging 4 different weight titles in 1 and a half years.

you may be right. but i want pac to cement more to his legacy as early as now. who knows if he retires to enter politics and when he comes back he won't be the same again? or will he ever come back if he ever wins?

147 if it's the only way he could get his 7th division championship.
Pacquiao became a world champ just before he turned 20, TONS OF HEART, he's been in alot of wars brutal fights. He is no Godzilla nor does he walk in water but this fight is very WINNABLE IMO.

The only answer you will get with the way ask the question is 147 and is my reply.

Any weight between 140 and 147 is legitimate! Pacquiao is fighting the bigger man and your using the words "coward" and "not noble" to describe this fighter.

A lot of people are stupid bying into the dehydration qualms.

A lot of people also don't know what they are talking about when it comes to natural weight, fighting weight and qualifing weight.

Pacquiao shoud do what is good for Pacquiao and not what a bunch of dopy people think.

Yup, we have seen alot of supposedly good fighters getting beaten lately and they have people defending them as if they were the UNDERDOG in these fights. Pacquiao is not even big as superfeatherweight in todays standards both in height and torso frame yet people miniscules his accomplishments. I really do hope PAC wins his 7th division world title then retire, I could care less what other people think.
