Default Light heavyweight division ruled by the old guys

I was just thinking how the old guys are dominating the light heavyweight division so i checked out everybodys age in the world top ten in The Ring Magazine.

    1.Bernard Hopkins 44

    2.Chad Dawson 27

    3.Glen Johnson 40

    4.Zsolt Erdei 35

    5.Antonio Tarver 40

    6.Roy Jones 40

    7.Clinton woods 37

    8.Jean Pascal 26

    9.Adrian Diaconu 31

    10.Yusaf Mack 29

Makes me wonder how long these guys can stay in the top ten and continue to turn out good wins true athletes a credit to the sport.

Well you can go ahead and take Clinton Woods off of that list as Tavoris Cloud is going to unload a whole heapin' helpin' of whup ass on him.

They make me laugh these rankings there all a load of bollocks if you ask me. For instance Amir Khan beats the then ranked number 7/8 fighter cant remember exactly Kotelnik and goes to number 3. But Pascal beats the the number ranked 5 fighter Adrian Diaconu and goes in at number 8 wtf??

These guys been smoking crack who comply there rankings?

Woods is in for a long night, Cloud first person to stop Gonzalez who has been in with the best, Woods is way past it. Cloud TKO 6.

I see this fight similar to Eastman/Miranda.

There are definately some old guys up there, but the ones highlighted in blue I would hardly called old. Both Hopkins and Johnson have shown they are still relevant and are able to fight well at their age.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

....Tavoris Cloud is a slugger and he's going to land a few bombs before the night is over and I doubt Woods will weather them.

BTW Woods only lasted so long with Roy because Roy carried him, at that point in time no one could touch RJJ so he gave the fans something to talk about, he'd gloat and showboat and do his little act and when he felt the crowd had enough he finished the fighter off

6 old guys to 4 young would state that the old guys are dominating the division basically a division full of old guys who have been campaigning 20+ years this was mainly my point.

I fancy Woods to beat Cloud i don't see anything that good about him. I think Woods UD or SD12

Another factor in this fight, is Woods and his performance on Us shores before, ok the fight against RJJ was more or less a prime RJJ, but the fight against Tarver was a shocking performance and he looked nervous from the first bell, Woods imo isnt the same fighter when he is out of his comfort zone, add to that hes fighting a young hungry banger i just cant see 37 year old Woods winning this.

Hopkins is looking for one more major fight so I am not sure really how we can really count his ranking since it is not like he plans on winning a title and trying to make a bunch of title defenses.

Glen Johnson is trying to win a title and who knows, he might do it and make a few titles defenses.

Jones, I am not sure what his plan is or if he really has one.

Tarver. Ready for retirement. Other than Tarver-Jones 4, not sure what is out there for him really. And I like the guy.
