Thread: Ali never ceases to amaze me!

Caught an article on Sky News about Ali visiting Hattons new Gym and he was due to be wheeled in in a wheelchair but instead got on his feet and walked!

Took time out with the local underprivelaged kids etc and seemed to have some banter with Ricky!

He was quoted as saying..."I can't be wheeled into Ricky Hattons Gym, i'm gonna walk..."

Will he ever stop fighting things Ali?

I seen that mate on the news yesterday afternoon.I wish i was there to witness him entering Hattons gym in Manchester.Ali is just soo great.I felt sorry for him watching it on t.v,to think what a fantastic boxer he was and to see him now.He looked frail,but he has a heart a size of a mountain.

God bless you Ali.You are and always will be the GREATEST!!!!

Mike Marley writes.... some little birdy confided to him to have overheard Muhammad Ali remark in his visit to the Hitman's gym, “Is that Ricky Hatton? I didn’t recognize him standing up!” LOL!

All in jest of course... after all these years, Parkinson's and all, Muhammad still as sharp and still exhibits... that whip on his quips!

Not only a great boxer but a person who at one point was the most recognizable figure alive in the world.

One of the few athletes who truly transcended his sport.

I am going to Irelan on Monday to see the great man.(at a distance most lightly)

Turns out this isn't his last trip to Britain. He's coming back next year, something to do with the 50th anniversary of his first professional fight.

I blagged a three day trip to Ireland coz I told her it was my last chance to see my child hood hero.
