Ray Mercer knocked out a washed up Tim Sylvia who is a HW. Anderson Silva is a MW who has never fought Ray mercer. Both you and your friend are either sadly mis informed or trolls.

Tell me this is a joke thread. Please. It was indeed Tim Sylvia who Mercer knocked out in like 9 seconds. Sylvia wanted to fight Mercer stand up only. Tim Sylvia is and never was an all time heavyweight in MMA. He is very notable and was once champion but he is not on the all time list. Mercer is a below average MMA fighter. He is of course a dangerous puncher who could turn the fighter around with one punch. Mercer got submitted by Kimbo Slice also. He is really just a name on the resume and that credit is just from boxing. Mercer has done nothing noteworthy in MMA.

Well I reckon hes had more success than someone from martial arts would have had being in their late forties then moving to boxing

Ray mercer landed a lucky punch on a washed bad copy of Big Bird, it takes a lot more than that to be considered as the greatest boxer in MMA, especially as he got destroyed on a few occasions in the mixed martial art's league.
