Default Everyday expressions related to Boxing

Sure we have all heard the expressions used like "he had better toe the line" or "his work doesn't come up to scratch"

These are used by many people but have their origins in boxing, anyone know of any other expressions that are sports based in origin but used in everyday life?

"Out for the count" and "On the ropes" are very common.

"he's slipped the jab and delivered a hard straight right" is quite commonly used in everyday conversation.

As is " he rolled under his opponents left hook and countered with a sweetly timed uppercut, putting his oppenent down for a count of 8". I use that all the time.
