    Default David Tua

I was wondering what happed to David Tua, I was thinking he had already retired for good, and now this pops up. I hadn't seen him fight since he knocked out Michael Moorer.

Yeah, Tua hasn't fought in a while. Not since Sept of 2007.

I'm looking forward to his fight with Shane Cameron.

At this point a thrid match is the only meaningful fight for either one. Tua has let time pass him by and is a relatively obscure fighter now and Rahman is just not able to pull another upset in my opinion.

Just seems like we've been hearing about the Cameron fight forever ?I think he's playing catch up.Sensational when he was hot and in shape but one that will go down as what 'could-would-or should ' have been I think.

Yeah. If he had fought Lewis the way he fought the bums he fought on the way up by going to war and trying to rip Lewis' head off , even if he lost by KO, he would have had a better reputation and maybe have had another title fight by now.

For me chief,he will always be one that leaves me scratching my head.He was def facing some lacking guys coming up but they could only dream of possessing a quarter of Lewis arsenal.Agree though...Tua should have attacked him, shown some intensity...thought surely he would but came in too heavy, too much hair and played Lennoxs foil to a tee.

I dont know if it was shite management, lack of desire,or being over hyped and sold on pure power. He was pushed on it and think they went a bit over the top with 'extras',the conk shells and warrior themed intros .Strong as they come.He pulled a few out of the fire vs Izon,Maskaev,Rahman (bell, what bell ?) but Lewis and Byrd schooled him badly.

Byrd did school Tua but I can't help but feel that was the absolute perfect time for Byrd he was at his peak and Tua was in and out of the heavyweight picture. I'd say two years earlier Byrd would have been knocked out cold.

I'm going to Tua/ Cameron tomorrow! Suddenly everyone over here is an expert when 99% of them couldn't name 5 p4p guys!!!

Its a good boost for the sport over here, but amazing that 2 bums (imo, Tua hasn't fought in 2 years & Cameron's never beaten anyone) can create the biggest fight over here ever!

Plus there's no free to air T.V., & they were charging $145 to the private function for the weight in. When the had a free stream showing it in the Zone Bar of the Hamilton Casino.

It just pisses me of that this fight gets so much coverage here but any other time you never hear a peep from the media about the game!

Thats pretty cool chief.Have a great night at the fights.Sounds like it has the attention of the country.Dont know much at all about Cameron aside from record and being ko'd by Friday Ahunanya-huh (isn't he the guy who "broke" Tysons back ) but two yrs out for Tua is big.Sounding like a busted record here but WTF.....with the shite lack of solid competition in the heavy division, why is this man NOT in the heat of the mix and remaining active

Those reports don't talk about Tua hitting Cameron twice when he was on the canvas do they?

The ref was trying to call for time to give Cameron time to recover but the bell for the round rang so he just sent Cameron to the corner with no recovery time, major botch on the ref's part. But I thought if you hit a downed opponent it was an instant DQ. Tua landed two.

Cameron wasn't gonna win but still.
