The problem in this story, and one of the part why some people "understand" why Polanski escaped from the US, is because there were an "plea agreement" that was not fully respected by US court (from what media told here in France).

Still, maybe a confrontation with his victim, would be any good, but prison at this stage wouldn't mean anything (IMO). I just think he should be banned to work with or approach any child. in any country.

And the parents allowed that situation to happen in hopes that they would gain access to famous people or their daughter would become famous (which is ridiculous). Yeah I agree pretty much. I do think there is a world of difference between fucking a prepubescent child not yet in her teens than a young teen though.

I mean a true pedophile I guess is someone who goes for children, at least 15 year old girls, and some 13 year olds are actually sexually developing and look like young women.

...the justice system is a joke, and this is great way to show that the risk vs reward factor in this country is just as funny.
