This guy is a seen as a monster and evil to the core yet he did no worse than Polanski. Of his two 'victim's one was 16 so of perfectly legal age to be butt fucked with decency, and his younger 13 year old brother voluntarily went to the house for some mutual sucky time.

The only difference is Geoffrey didn't flee the country when convicted but accepted the charges, and went to court and was charged.

despite what some representative persons (one minister) said in France, most of the people think what Polanski did is and still unacceptable.

you cannot take advantage of a 13years old, never ever ever !! even if she's alone with you to be photographed or something else. She's a teen, she's not fully aware and responsible of what can happen, as an adult you are !! and this is insane to even think there's explanation in this. my simpathy goes to the victim and not Polanski in this case.

The problem in this story, and one of the part why some people "understand" why Polanski escaped from the US, is because there were an "plea agreement" that was not fully respected by US court (from what media told here in France).

Still, maybe a confrontation with his victim, would be any good, but prison at this stage wouldn't mean anything (IMO). I just think he should be banned to work with or approach any child. in any country.

Mr Bilbo : the sexual majority in France is 15 years old. but as you said, having sex with anyone under 18 should seems wrong to any person above 30. (IMO)

I didn't know if you knew about the actual case, it wasn't about a photoshoot it was about Polanski drugging and having sex with a minor. And the parents allowed that situation to happen in hopes that they would gain access to famous people or their daughter would become famous (which is ridiculous). I think Polanski and the parents are guilty of this crime, but the main thing is the reason they went after Polanski for so long is because he PLEAD GUILTY for the crime and then ran away.

I was just trying to make sure you understood what was actually going on.

Well, I'm certainly not defending him here, as now being 23, I wouldn't get with any girl under the age of 18, but I'm guessing if got with Kinski in either Poland or France, he was in fact NOT breaking the law as the age of consent in both countries is 15, in fact in Spain I believe it is 13.

But for me, it's more of a moral issue, as you know fucking young girls is... well, you know... disturbed & wrong. I think once I got to the age of 17, the idea of shagging a 15 year old became disgusting to me.

You only have to see how young celebrities are treated as soon as they become of legal age in the media. Prior to that day they are just kids, but the second they hit the legal age the press will be full of photo's of them showing their muff's in the backseat of cars, upskirt and nipple slip pics etc.

It wasn't that the world saw them as children one day and the next they suddenly became a young hot woman overnight of course not. The media were counting down the days before they could turn Emma Watson into a magazine selling sex lolita for example and had the legal age been 15 they would have started on her 15th birthday.

That's why its so important for Polanski to be prosecuted imo, to send out a message that underage sex is not cool and ok, because in many ways girls just below the legal age of consent are far more at risk of being seduced by average men than kids.

Celebrities can get away with a lot more than us normal people, they can go much further. It seems that only Gary Glitter has truly passed the threshold and become a universally hated celebrity... others will always have sympathizers, seemingly regardless of the severity of the crime.

It's pretty messed up all right. Here in Ireland a few years ago the husband of a famous TV chef (Darina Allen) was charged and pled guilty to having almost 1000 pornographic images of children on his PC. What did he get? A slap on the wrists; Community service, a €40,000 fine (nothing to millionaires) and placement on the sex offenders register (Ooooh, that'll show him!)
He basically got off scot-free because of celebrity status.

It seems that artistic genius can almost be interpreted as a type of get out of jail free card, as sympathizers usually use that as an excuse for having an imbalance in judgment.
Now lets have a show of hands from people who think that, although he murdered two innocent young girls, Ian Huntley was a fantastic janitor... a genius at cleaning if you will.

...the justice system is a joke, and this is great way to show that the risk vs reward factor in this country is just as funny. I would never go through the trouble of calling the police and sitting through court if someone touched on of my children. I would grab my pistol and blow thier teeth into the wall behind them and take my chances on the run.........obviously my chances would be pretty good.
