^ how does he do this? If I tried blocking a hook like that they would just jab into my wide open face... and somehow he deflects it behind himself? I would love to be able to do that.

Blocking the left hook is something that Floyd's been drilled on since he was a kid. Perhaps Marquez was a little frustrated at his inability to hit Floyd with a jab, and maybe that's what he was more inclined to throw at that range.

Looking back at that moment, I think Marquez could have landed the second left hook if it had been aimed at the body, and then he should've tried to cut off the ring by stepping to the right.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.

You all have better eyes than me. I don't know who won the fight, but Marquez was looking better to me in that round. I really like how Marquez kept a good guard up. Mayweather is sure fast though.

    Just some thoughts.

I'll try to break it down in 2 steps, as best as I can figure...

    a. he's a freak of nature.

    b.

by the time you have any sort of plan on him beyond missing with the hook, he is likely not there any more to hit, or you just got tagged.

If you move into a hook it'll go around the back of you,but he looks like he was moving away, maybe just one of things with Juan overreaching to follow the path of the target; but anyway Floyd had it covered no problem there.

I honestly think he has a sixth sense in the ring once he gets someones timing down. The way he keeps his glove up knowing its coming again, Without rewatching it all again: my bet is he has his elbow down and his right leg is about to fold back if it happens to come lower than expected. Floyd has it wired and his positioning allows for interuptionof hismovements as wel as the opositions thats why he is so good. If that second hook had come low, I bet he would be moving back from it even if it tagged him and then he would ride over it and use it like a runway to Juans head thats how he thinks so thats how he trains.
