    Default Antonio Demarco

picked up the interim WBC 135 belt last night. Thoughts?

I think he needs some solid defence work before going after Valero.

Not sure why he was crying so much tears of joy?

Valero would spark DeMarco, no doubt about it.

To say Valero would knock out DeMarco is not even a bold statement

He has an air of Victor Ortiz about him.

    Owww.Point deduction Killer for L.B

Call me a sucker for the rangy comers. This division is stacked.I really think he's improved quite a bit.Was prone to get sucked into shootouts early from what Ive seen and has shown some maturity, patience from the Kid Diamond and last night.Better side to side, defense and clean combos. His finishing is really understated, looks to read a guy well when he hurts them and gets it done.

He's young.Honestly dont think A valero fight will come off,Valero having endless visa problems. One thing he needs to sharpen up on is a over reliance....pattern...of that arcing uppercut.Comes from the knees to end volleys and a solid fast hooker can find him.Looking forward to what comes of it.

Slow starter but a killer finisher. Reminds me a bit of Margo with his uppercuts and overhand shots. I like him.

I've had DeMarco on the radar since I saw him fight out here in LA in 06...
The kid looked good but he wasn't as sharp as he is today.
Believe me his defense has improved he used to get tagged more.

Still it needs a lot of work but I like the kid he's exciting and if we had more fighters like him who come to fight and just go all out we'd be in for a treat all the time.

His last 3 wins have been good wins for a contender. As I said during the Kid Diamond fight if he can be polished up he can go far. At this time I'd favor Valero because DeMarcos easy to hit.

Would like to see DeMarco fight any of the following:
    Jose Santa Cruz
    David Diaz
    Miguel Vazquez

I think Vazquez would be a very difficult fight for deMarco to win, just because Vazquez's entire style is based on spoiling a fighter trying to get things going. I think the other two are great choices at this time.
