He was the undisputed Cruiser weight champion and his loud mouth has ensured that people will pay to see him get KTFO.
Bums on seats and $$$ in the bank.
Oh... wait, you were talking about Kevin Johnson?
To be fair though, he has a decent heavyweight record, nothing special, I guess Vitali just wants to keep busy and get some ring time with a decent opponent.
Johnson's getting a shot, because really who else is there right now, maybe Povetkin?
Ring ratings.
Champ Wlad - clearly Vitali is not going to fight his brother
1. Vitali
2. Povetkin - Not sure what's going on with him honestly.
3. Chambers - In limbo right now was in negotiations with Wlad when Wlad got hurt.
4. Chagaev - Just got destroyed by Wlad
5. Valuev - fighting Haye
6. Arreola - Just got destroyed by Vitali
7. Boystov - Just fought Jason Gavern a few weeks ago.
8. Haye - had negotiation issues, fighting Valuev
9. Dimintrenko - Got blown out by Chambers in his last fight, scheduled to fight Krasniqi this month
10. Johnson - well here it is.
Johnson tries to fight a lot like James Toney he has pretty good power (busted Devon Vargas' eardrum in their fight) but it's hard for me to picture him beating Vitali, because his footwork isn't that great, so it should be near impossible to get in range.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
I don't need no stinkin Ring listing. Here is Holmcal's listing:

The HW scene is still a joke. Looking at that top 10 is embarrassing.
Vitali is the stand out best and Wladdy has got better, although I still think if someone popped him on the chin he'd be gone.
Solis could be good and I would like to see Povetkin in a title fight, but the rest are jokes.
Haye untested at HW. Valuev is terrible, Chambers is average, Chagaev has gone in the head...
Why did Roberto Cammarelle never turn pro?
Cleverly, Brook, Mitchell, McCloskey, Walsh, Dickinson, Macklin, Barker. Murray, Khan, Moore, Lindsay, Munroe...the Brits are coming baby!! Hidden Content Hidden Content
I count ten fighters.
Since when did every top ten list have a seperate rating for the champ?
For example Boxing Monthly doesn't...
having 1-10 and then champ is essentially the same as having 1-11... no matter what - who ever is at the top is the best.
Are we talking about a divisions 10 best fighters here , or a champ's top ten contenders?
Johnson is a reasonable contender with reasonable skill, but he has one big problem, he doesn't have the power to cause Vitali trouble, I'd rather see Wlad fight him because I think he'd show us how good Wlad could be if he wasn't as cautious about being KO'd.
