Whats the latest on him now. Did he really get down to 217 for his last fight? If so he must be finally serious about fighting again.

Any word on when he will get back in the ring. I think he is one of the slickest heavies out there . Even though he is getting old.

Well he came back and beat a bum and has once again slipped off the radar. What was that rubbish about 2 more fights before the year is out? We will probably see him fight someone in the top 10 next June.

Toney is frustrating, there needs to be a plan and for it to be adhered to so he can prove he is ring fit. This once a year rubbish is good for nobody. Either stick at it and get the rounds in or just retire.

I hope it is not the same old story and he does come at a good weight and fight soon. So talented but lazy.

I agree I dont get his lazyness. I wish he had a Hollyfield type work ethic ,he sure would have made himself a lot more money.

We are lucky there are so many great James Toney fights available on youtube: Nunn, Johnson, Jirov, Delgado etc. He fought an unbeaten Nunn and then a prime Johnson in very quick succession indeed.

He would probably have to get on the roids again to get to a decent weight/fitness level to fight again with any notability...

Unless he needs money (and i'm not sure how much money he'd make from fighting at this stage anyway), then I don't think their is much motivation for him to put in what it takes to get into fight condition.... Just enjoy your retirement buddy
