Pac rightfully got a huge amount of credit for that amazing performance last night, but i was impressed by Cotto's heart, and i thought he was doing well until the 2nd KD. What next for Cotto though? Who does he fight? I wouldn't mind seeing him in with the winner of Mosley-Berto, but who do you all think he should fight, or if he should fight?

Well Cotto is a true fighter, he'll go after whoever is put infront of him. And because of his warrior spirit I would be in favor of him taking an easy fight, maybe vs someone like Matthew Hatton who isn't a banger, he isn't impressive, he's a very safe fight.

If Cotto looks good then move him on up vs better opposition.

I don't want to see Cotto take a beating like that again, but he's a fighter, that's his job, that's his way of earning a living, and he continues on fighting and being competitive who are we to tell him to retire?

I think if Juan Diaz went up to WW it would be a good fight. Cotto would controle the fight and win on points or a late KO.

I'd like to see him get a experienced trainer and rematch Clottey then Mosely.

He does need a better trainer.....am I alone in thinking Buddy McGirt would have been good for him last night? Buddy ain't my favorite, but he cares about his fighters

I don't know why people are saying Cottos done.

He's faaar from done, did you see how he was fighting back after Pac tagged him? Did you see how he kept coming forward looking for the fight?

Cottos a natural fighter it's what he does and losing to Pac does not mean he's done.

Here's what I would like to see, I'd like to see him fight any of these guys:
Alfonso Gomez
Isaac Hlatshwayo
Saul Alvarez

A more ideal fight would be vs. Henry Bruseles in Puerto Rico.

After that fight I would say if Berto beats SSM take on Berto.
If that's not the case I would like to see Cotto move up to 154 and try to capture his 3 weight class title.
Or he could also fight Hatton, that would be nice.

A rematch with Joshua Clottey although that won't happen.

the biggest money fight i feel for cotto next would be a margarito rematch

I don't think Cotto is done, but I do think he needs to take an extended break. He's been in a lot of wars for someone his age and has gotten cut and busted up in a lot of recent fights.

Cotto would destroy Hatton, but it would be a good fight for him. I didn;t think Hatton deserved his draw the other night. So is M Hatton making a slight name for himself in the states? -I wouldn't have thought he would be as he's not very exciting.

Paul Spadafora would be a good start for him a good record and a decent fighter. He can take a chance and head over to Manchester for a brawl with Ricky.

Diaz didnt wanna fight malinaggi at 140 and ended up agreeing to 138.5 lb catchweight so his not gonna be anywere near welterweight, cotto would smash him inside 5 rounds simply because diaz wouldnt have the neccesary power to keep miguel off him

he should probably offer hatton a chance back into the mix , good test for what is left in both of them, whoever loses would probably havee to retire

Cotto is far from done, he was in survival mode after the 2nd knockdown and was beaten up badly by the end. Pacquaio was just to good on the night, Cotto needs to rest for about 5-6 months, come back in May/June next year either at 147 or 154, i would still like to see a Mosley rematch.
My question is would Floyd cut him up as badly as Manny?

Cotto is deffinitely not done. He looked as sharp as ive ever seen him for the first part of that fight, before the tide turned. I would say hes the third best fighter at 147 at this time behind Pac-man and Mayweather. I think he would handle Berto with ease and he would give floyd problems.

A rematch with Gomez doesn't make sense to me but fighting Haton yes, it would be nice; it's definitively a winnable fight and a very good one in terms of money.
