    Default Advice needed

    Hi,

I am after advice from anyone who has been to vegas for a big fight before.

How do you go about purchasing tickets for these events, and what is the price range normally?

What is the best way to find out when they go on sale and have a chance of getting one?

I understand it must be very hard to get tickets for the MGM but any advice would be great, or am i wasting my time trying to get one?

    Thanks in advance

I presume your wanting to go to the Pac/Mayweather fight??

Well the tickets for the general public for this fight I think we will be lucky to get 5000, so basically your chances of that avenue are slim to none.

Best bet is a ticket agency they charge alot more than the face value, for instance i purchased a ticket for Hatton /Mayweather fight for $450 and the face value was $80, so you will be paying over the odds.

Im not sure what the company was i'll try and find out but im sure there's a few guys on here who will give you a reputable company to use.

Knowing when the tickets are being released for sale id just keep my eye on the ball they will announce a date way before the date they state, id keep going on boxing sites and try the actual MGM Site itself, but if you go through an agency ( probably your best option ) I cant see you having many problems getting a ticket or two.

Be verrrry careful about buying tickets that are anything other than official.

I know it is damn near impossible to do so the likely hood is that you'll have to take the risk.

But I have a horror story where by I bought a pair of $1000 dollar seats off ebay for the Mayweather Hatton fight. The guy who delivered them to my house was nice as pie and the tickets were legit upon inspection so I thought "sorted!".

Well, when I got there I'd been told that although the tickets were legit, they'd been reported stolen and been re-issued!

The manager was nice enough to allow us to buy some $600 seats but we were left with no money for the rest of the trip and the stress of it all ruined the whole event for me and a mate.

I did actually end up getting my money back believe it or not when I returned which I respect the guy for - He said he was selling them for a friend who obviously screwed him too.

It just wasn't worth the trouble - be careful.

Also, unless you're mega rich, I'd forget it - The cheapest tickets are $500 compared to Hatton Mayweather tickets which were $150 for cheap seats. On top of that you need to at least double or triple the face value. It all gets very expensive..

    Ringside are $2500.

I'm gonna try and get out there but I doubt I'll get to see it live.

    Many thanks for the advice.

I am willing to pay £500 via a ticket agency for the fight, although i take it you wont see much with a poor seat in the MGM?

Does anyone have any respected ticket agencies?
I am terrified of paying big money only to find out it is a fake.

    Thanks

Call the hotel the fight will be at and ask for a package deal if offered, Room, Tickets, Taxi back and forth to the airport etc.....If you call ahead of ticket sale date many times you can be put on a list....Just inquire how many others are ahead of you...After that hit ticket Master for legit tickets....Then look for Hotels outside the immediate city of Vegas for cheaper rooms rent a car...Best way to go

Get on ticketmaster on the day. I had a $150 ticket off them for the Pacquiao/Hatton fight & I personally thought the view was ok & I was in the cheapest brand of seats.

    Ticketmaster is the one.

Where are you flying from? If it's the UK, I'd get on lastminute.com to get a package deal asap. Also look to spend more than a weekend as it's actually cheaper to book about a week, as I did when I went out. Only cost me £400 for flight & hotel.
