I say if they can make a solid payday, go for it. Boxing is a business and they are elite boxers who can garner great interest.
What do you say?

“If you want loyalty, buy a dog.” Ricky Hatton
It probably makes as much sense as any other fight in their division.
Its Gonna Be Brawl And Its Gonna Be War, Somebody Gonna Gets Hurt Again
i'm against it for the safety of both boxers. their 3 brutal wars is enough. both were ruined in those 3 wars.
It doesn't make sense. A trilogy is enough. Let them fight someone else. Caballero or Lopez for example. It a lose lose situation for either guy cause it won't verify their p4p status at all. They both looked rusty especially Vasquez in their last fights. If one guy beats the other, people will say that the loser was shot after their 3 wars anyways. Let's move on and see them fight the younger tough guys
When you have had a legendary trilogy...why risk ruining it by having a fourth fight? These two have beat each other to a pulp three times...no question it was exciting and memorable...but they both should move on.
It's probably not safe for them to fight eachother but their trilogy is greatest of all time imo so hell yeah, i'd watch it.

It makes financial sense. In his last fight Vazquez was in a war and got banged up against a journeyman who'd been out of the ring longer than Vazquez had. I think he's taking this fight because it's a massive payday and he can see he'll probably never be the same again. If he fights somebody other than Marquez next fight the fact he's done may be obvious to everybody so he's grabbing the biggest payday possible before it evaporates, he's thinking pension. I didn't see Marquez's last fight but he's probably in the same situation. Those three wars put together were career enders.
I think they should have stopped at three. But both fighters are probably ruined now and would lose if they took on one of the other champs, so its probably the best way to make some money.
I'm not that interested though. I mean Vasquez already won the series 2-1 so there isn't really much point to it.
A fifth fight would be silly but if Marquez wins I guess we will see it.
As others have said, it definitely makes business sense. However, I'm really not all that interested in the fight. I'll watch it, and I have doubt that it will be extremely entertaining, but it's not going to prove anything we don't already know and it'll be largely irrelevant in terms of the larger boxing scene. I'd rather both fighter moved on to take on other challenges.
Who knows what they even have left after their three wars, this fight could ruin them. Hell, they could already be ruined.
Both of them deserve another good payday though and I don't begrudge either one of them for taking the fight.
One last thing, IMO their trilogy is the best I've ever seen. FAR superior to Gatti-Ward.
Maybe as an interest just to watch but in truth no, The money they will make facing each other will not make up for the damage each suffers, I think Vazquez needs a few easy fights to make sure the eye holds up and Marquez suffered 2 losses in a row against Vazquez so I am sure he need to look at other ventures as well....
They still have more to accomplish in their careers legacy wise so why not tackle that instead....
The chapter between the two is closed....If Marquez won the 4th fight what then a 5th?
Moneywise - yes (I hear they getting $1mil each)
Fanwise - yes (it's a can't miss fight of the year)
Healthwise - no (I think those 3 fights have shortened both guys longevity)
I think both guys are a good matchup because they both a little past there prime. They won't make $1mil fighting anybody else in the division and are both probably easy fodder for any of the up and coming stars in the division. I can't see these guys hanging with John, Rojas, Caballero, Lopez etc
I say do it!!!
imo no just need to move on but i'll watch the fight
