You have got more chance of nicking the Pope's hat than this fight ever coming off.

I can't see it happening. Hatton likes Khan and Warren is Khans promoter. It's probably too difficult to set up right now. I can see Hatton wanting to fight Marquez a lot more than Khan. Maybe if Hatton and Khan can win their next fights something could be set up with the increased demand, but Hatton said he wants only one more.

I posted this on the UK boxing part of this forum.


I think its the perfect fight for both of them.

Hatton is still held in high regard by the American boxing fraternity. He can still draw the big fights. Beating Khan would let everyone know he's still a force in world boxing.

Khan is the up and coming next world champion in waiting. What better why to announce your arrival to the Americans then beating Hatton.


The winner of Hatton V Khan should get to fight Juan Manuel Marquez. Simple's

hatton will murder khan theres noway khan will fight hatton

gbp said they're tired in waiting for hatton's decision to fight jmm and they're looking for other opponents (jmm vs. campbell anyone?)

this will likely boost chances of hatton vs. khan if warren is willing to share promotions with hatton's promotional firm

But don't get me wrong, it is a fight I myself would really like to see too. Even now I think Hatton has a great shot of stopping him.

It WILL NOT happen - simples

hope frank is willing to share the promotions with hatton and give hatton one last huge payday. he deserves it.

hatton vs. khan is quite interesting fight

Theres more chance of amir khan fighting wladimir klitschko on the moon than him fighting hatton.

Khan is too high risk for too low pay for ricky to even consider getting in with him. He is also warrens boy and ricky has already said they wont do business again

khan fights and beats paulie on the floyd-pac undercard. Hatton makes a triumphant final hurrah in manchester against marquez in the summer

To be honest Rick doesnt need another huge payday, it isnt about the money anymore, he is a millionaire 10 times over and some. Neither is he interested in fighting Amir, I know that as we have spoke about this fight before. I went out on the piss with him in Newcastle a couple of weeks ago, and I dont think anything will have changed since then. As for him and Ray working with Frank, I think hell will freeze over first.

All at one time or another would of been huge domestic fights. But what exactly is the incentive for ricky hatton to fight a huge DOMESTIC star for 2-3million in the UK when he could be going over to america and earning double that to fight a guy he can beat with his hands tied behind his back

err.. what? Khan is a massive star in Britain, sells 10,000 tickets fighting guys no-one has ever heard of and is a PPV fighter. A fight with Hatton would sell out a stadium easily. The PPV would be massive.

Woods = nobody.
Froch = No TV deal and sells 6,000 tickets in Nottingham.

Neither were ever serious rivals or a big fight for Calzaghe.

Witter? Hatton was only in mega fights in the States against BIG names. The Powderpuff, Urango and Collazo fights weren't big events at all.

HBO refused to buy the Lazcano fight yet Hatton still fought in England because he's big enough a star to sell 55,000 tickets fighting a washed up nobody. Hatton could have (should have) fought Witter anytime he wanted. And Hatton is finished as an American attraction.

Hatton could have (should have) fought Witter anytime he wanted.

From what i remember Hatton had it wrote into a contract he signed with Warren many moons ago that he had to fight Witter, unfortunately Witter became a bit big for his boots and done himself out of a possible fight with Hatton. Started making crazy demands to Warren over money and Fwrank basically told him to piss off.
