    Default Mayweather breaks his silence...

Mayweather blames bout collapse on Pacquiao - Boxing - Yahoo! Sports

By GREG BEACHAM AP Sports Writer

"Floyd Mayweather Jr. has fired back at Manny Pacquiao, saying the Filipino star’s refusal to compromise on drug testing concerns is the reason for the collapse of their prospective bout.

Mayweather made his first public comments about the negotiations in a written statement Thursday, one day after Pacquiao promoter Top Rank declared the March 13 bout dead due to an impasse in discussions over drug testing requirements.

Mayweather demanded repeated blood testing right up to the day of the fight, while Pacquiao asked for a 30-day cutoff before the bout. Mayweather now says he agreed to a 14-day cutoff compromise, but Pacquiao still won’t accept the terms.

Mayweather also says he’s still ready to sign a deal for the fight."

14 days is a more than resaonable compromise i would think.
That totally dismisses Manny's excuse about being weakened by the blood test...

It still allows Pacneedle almost two weeks to take PEDs and still pass the tests. The question is will that be enough for Pacneedle to agree to the fight?

    You've gotta love this.

Now we wait to see if the mediator comes back saying this is false. If this stands as true, that will mean that nothing Team Pacquiao has said in regards to the drug test is true. If the mediator comes back and states this is false then I start yelling at Mayweather as well.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

    By Floyd Mayweather Jr.
"Throughout this whole process I have remained patient, but at this point I am thoroughly disgusted that Pacquiao and his representatives are trying to blame me for the fight not happening when clearly the blame is on them.
"First and foremost, not only do I want to fight Manny Pacquiao, I want to whip his punk ass.
"Before the mediation, my team proposed a 14-day, no blood testing window leading up to the fight. But it was rejected. I am still proposing the 14-day window but he is still unwilling to agree to it, even though this is obviously a fair compromise on my part as I wanted the testing to be up until the fight and he wanted a 30-day cut-off. The truth is he just doesn't want to take the tests.
"In my opinion it is Manny Pacquiao and his team who are denying the people a chance to see the biggest fight ever. I know the people will see through their smokescreens and lies. I am ready to fight and sign the contract. Manny needs to stop making his excuses, step up and fight."

Floyd Mayweather: "I Want To Whip Pacquiao's Punk A$$" - Boxing News

You've got to say that this is a generous offer by Floyd. Pacneedle will have two full weeks to recover from losing two or three mills of blood before the fight. I'm 100% certain that Mayweather made this offer during the mediation, there's no way he'd be dumb enough to make this up.

Look at Gayweather duck de fight wit his 14 day 'compromize'. Fraud is fraid to fight Pacquiao on fair terms, where Floyd is handcuffed whilst Manny has barbed wire on his gloves. You know WHY!! Coz Gayweather iz a pussy! He's not real fighter like our lord and saviour Emanuel PacquiaO.

There don't seem to be any Pactards about at the moment, so I thought I should represent their views.

yup i'm leaning towards..... fuck Bob Arum, Richard Schaeffer, Al Heyman, Manny Pacquiao, and Floyd Mayweather Jr. at this point, they need to stop the drama and make the fight, if they're trying to make up for the lack of time to promote the fight with this bullshit well i'd prefer that it happen at the end of the year, cause this crap is beyond ridiculous

If what Mayweather says is true, and he bended to 14 days - then Pac really is a pussy. 14 days is plenty, too much even...

    Agreed.

If Mayweather truly has offered this and the Pac camp has refused then all I can say is "wow". They really have chickened out big style. It makes it really look as though they have something big to hide. 14 days was the perfect compromise. After all Manny gets "dizzy" after giving blood. But 14 days is plenty of time to get over this "major" trauma, he can rest a few hours and there is nothing more to worry about and then get back into training for a final hard week or so. But to flat out turn down Mayweathers proposal is astonishing. And what's more we have been hearing all kinds of shite from Arum and most of it appears to have been lies or at best misinformation.

And a big to Pacquiao and Arum. They are both a couple of shadey crooks and scoundrels. The fight was there to be made and again they have blown it.

I am starting to believe that the reason Pacquiao has not agreed to Mayweather's 14 day proposal is that my beloved countryman is too afraid to fight. None of the who is in charge makes the call bull$hit. It's about wanting the fight and Pacquiao does'nt want it. He CLEARLY does'nt want it.

Arum & Koncz have slammed Mayweather's statement, although haven't gone as far as to deny it.

Team Pacquiao, Arum Slam Mayweather's 14-day Story - Boxing News

    The choice quotes:

    Arum

"after the horses leave the barn and they rejected Manny's 24 days offer he now comes up with 14 days which is totally unacceptable"

"this is not a swap thing among a bunch of kids"

"we agreed to go to 24 days before the fight for a blood test but he rejected it and that's it. It's over"

Most interestingly Arum feels that because 'the fans' are blaming Mayweather for the collapse of the fight, he's trying to turn it around, but it's not working

    Koncz

sees PBF's statement as "both humorous and ludicrous all in one"

has been told my drug experts that PEDs "will be in your blood for 40 days before the fight or the day after the fight. Whatever is there is there for that period. So what the hell does 14 days have to do with it? Nothing other than to irritate Manny, knowing that he has whatever, a fear or superstition of extracting blood less than 30 days"

Sorry, had to highlight that last bit

His superstition only kicks in 30 days before a fight

Seriously, every time I think that there's nothing Arum & Team Pacquiao can do to make themselves look more stupid, there they go and confound expectations again
