Yeah, athletically Gamboa was already something special. But now that he is turning his amateur instincts into professional ways he is looking more and more like he'll be one of those fighters who were special.

I think the only problem he has is that he drops his hands too much, he has already been dropped a few times cause of it.

When gamboa takes his time he looks so so so much better. I like what i saw this weekend.

I agree Mar when he takes his time, keeps his feet under him, he's a much better fighter. He looked very calm in the face of Mtgawa who was essentially tailor made for him.

Since he defected, I knew that guy could go far and was potentially one of the hottest prospect around. Seems like things are slowly turning into that direction, can't wait to see him on the next step.

i was very, very impressed with gamboa this past weekend. the guy is probably the most explosive offensive fighter in boxing today. can he beat lopez? hard to say. both are great and styles do make fights but right now i cannot see gamboa losing anytime soon especially if he keeps improving like he has. what a fighter!!!
