Hi Guys, just a quick one.

Anyone who has caught punches has, I am sure, caught one (at least) in the ribs...

Now I got a shot in the ribs on Sat morning, cannot recall hearing anything crack or pop, but it is very much painful indeed. Shortness of breath, painful to breath, forget about sleeping comfortably. I have never had broken ribs, so I do not know if my ribs are broken!

My question is how smart (or not) is it to train carrying said injury? The pain I can deal with, i do not want to prolong recovery time.

To avoid prolonging recovery time in case there is an injury and not just after-pain from the punch, I suggest seeing a doctor and getting his opinion, maybe a quick X-Ray as well to see if it's merely fractured. Either way, I would suggest getting it checked before going back to training, just to be safe.
