Default Paul Williams and Cintron close to done deal May 8th

I will definitely watch the fight, but Williams wins this easy I think. Cintron, I think is getting credit for beating a slow Angulo and he lost to Sergio Martinez a lot more convincingly than Paul Williams. Not sure what Cintron really brings to the table. Either way though it will be entertaining. Think Paul is trying to make his way back down, since the fight will either be at 154 or potentially 147

McGirt recalling the minute break between the 9th round of the Ward fight "He said, 'Help me stand up and I'll finish the fight.'"

only thing that really makes any interest in this fight is Cintron's power, but Williams is gonna break him down and stop him pretty quickly, i say Williams TKO4, i'd really rather watch Cintron Vs. Quintana

Couldn't agree more!! Williams breaks down a limited Cintron and pretty much ends it any time he feels after the second or third round. Cintron Vs Quintana though would be much more interesting matchup. I think Cintron actually may get to and stop Quintana early, especially if he lets himself get caught cold like he did Vs Williams second time around!

i actually think that Cintron is made for Quintana, if this fight was to happen he'd be able to get himself into another title run if he pulls out the W, it's a toss up, which is what makes it intriguing

Definitley an interesting matchup think I' stick with Cintrons power being the telling factor, I'd also like to see him fight Marg again now he's been caught cheating, not saying he was against Cintron but it is interesting that the only man to beat him KO'd him twice and later got caught putting plaster in his hand wraps. Cintron was landing bombs on Marg especially second time round that even his chin couldn't have withstood 12 rounds of.

I think people are overrating Williams and underestimating Cintron in this one. Williams should be the favorite but an early round stoppage by Williams is not going to happen. Williams is no one punch fighter and Cintron is not exactly glass joe. If the fight were to end early then most likely Cintron caught Williams early. Which I can see happening because Cintron does have the one punch bombs and Williams' defense is really his offense. I hope Williams wins this fight but Cintron is not the slouch people are making him out to be. Cintron is in this fight and if he picks his spots to box, which is like kryptonite to Williams, then a Cintron victory is not some absurd ending.

This is actually a very nice fight.Off the top I can see Williams volume and Cintrons on and off mental make up the difference. But Cintrons respectable pop and Williams basically none existent defence makes it an uncertainty.Thing is Cintron has shown he can adjust and box his height albeit vs led footed Angulo and last Williams has shown patience and the same was vs Margarito. He lays in and throws pretty wide...but like a windmill.Odd irony that the man who debatebly earned a 'W' over both sits on the outside.

I think I give Cintron a better shot than most others on here are, if Cintron gets full leverage on a shot when Williams leans forward and is wading in, the bout could fall into his favor very quickly.

Martinez at least gets a shot against Pavlik (pending Pavlik doesn't back out again)

I am really glad this fight is happening, it all comes down to Williams needs to fight tall, like he did against Wright. That's the only time I've seen him do that though, every other fight he's given up his height, Cintron has ok movement when he chooses to box.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Oddly yeh.Never big on Cintron but I think he has a nice chance here, just has to be willing to walk into the fan blades that will undoubtedly come at him.Has height, range, pop and I think everything physical in a fighter you could hope for...but has gone limp at times when it heated up in there. That double lose to Martinez cannot be erased to me.I think he can no doubt hurt Williams but wont get it done with one shot, follow up key.

Williams robs himself of so much. The frame of a tall wispy boxer/puncher but gives it all up to come like a slugger. He did well with height vs Margarito I believe but his leaky 'D' is catching up quick.

Yeah I would call this fight a toss up really, would slightly favour Williams , but if anyone is getting stopped early its likely him. Cintron certainly hits hard enough to put him away if he hurts him, and Williams has basically no defence to speak of at any point in fights. It's a really fun clash of styles imo, I don't think Williams overwhelming Cintron and breaking him down is to to much more likely than it is he gets caught with something big early and often enough. If Cintron was a bit stronger mentally I think it would be his fight to lose, although that's dumb to say I realize. Williams can basically only win fights the way he does, and he is so open all to often in doing so, a crisp puncher will always be able to land highlight reel shots on him, I just think Cintron punches hard enough to take him out in the case.
