I've really grown to like Paulie just for his sheer honesty. He really does seem to be a guy who says it how it is. He's a fighter I think I would genuinely enjoy sitting down & having a drink with.

I want Khan to win I guess, but I don't really want Paulie to lose, and yeah Mark you're right, Khan definitely is dull after the other interview. I should have watched that one first.

Paulie? Honest?...really? If Paulie was honest he'd admit his whole contorted-face, hundred MPH speacking wideboy persona is adopted to hide his inate deep-seated fear.

He should also quit blaing McGirt for his loss to Hatton and just admit he raped by the bigger, stronger and uglier man.

Fear Give me a break. He has been in with stronger more talented fighters than Khan. Paulie won't be stopped by him I'll bet on that. Not in NYC thats for sure.

Though I am not sure if Paulie would beat Hatton, it is obvious he is better off without McGirt.

He is absolutely right when he says that people get pissed off at him for answering questions honestly. He doesn't press these issues. The reporters know they are gonna get quotes that will have people reading. You can take that as you will, but I believe it is more the fault of the reporters than his.

Paulie also made a good point that this will be unfamiliar territory for Khan. He is going to get booed, first fight in the states, I believe it is his toughest challenge yet. Can he handle the pressure?? Khan says he can block all that out, but will see. I will be rooting for Paulie 100%.

I think ICB is right when he said in another thread that Paulies best win was against Juan Diaz, a career 135 pounder. Paulie is very durable I'll give him that, but other than lasting with Cotto and Hatton in very 1 sided beat downs what has Paulie done?

Khan is bigger, faster, stronger, and his biggest weakness is nullified in this fight because of the lack of punching power of Paulie. Seriously people are overrating Paulie because he outboxed a career 135 pound fighter?

Sorry but Paulie is a gatekeeper at 140 for the likes of Khan or a tuneup fight for Bradley or Alexander.

Diaz, a fight in which well over the majority thought would walk over Paulie. I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if Paulie shocks a lot of people around here. Amir pitter pattered his way to the belt hitting majority of gloves and arm against Kotelnik. Fought an aged Barrera, refuse to say beat. Can't even remember the last bum he fought. What has Amir really shown since his loss honestly? Talk about a hype job.

I know there was another thread praying for a Clottey upset. I am not the religious type but I will say a prayer for Paulie to beat Khan.

Khan might be a hype job, and I'm no fan of Khan but everything I've just said in my previous post is correct. Paulie is a feather fisted gatekeeper or a warmup fight for the elites at 140. He has no power to seriously hurt Khan, he might wobble him because Khan's chin is shit, but the speed, size, and power is in Khan's favor.

And yes you should say a prayer for Paulie because most people are predicting this loss and this may be his last decent semi-big fight, unless Alexander or Bradley comes calling for a tuneup fight. For Paulie is known more for his outside opinions, hijinks in the ring such as that haircut, and Punchout commercial, than he is for prize fighting.

I don't get why Paulie was so shit in the Hatton fight he looked fucking useless. When you see the Cotto fight you wonder what made the huge difference.

If he can do another performance like the Cotto one Khan will have a tough time looking as good as he wants in his American debut.

I personally like the way he speaks his mind it makes me laugh.
