Default Margarito returns May 8 in Mexico

I think that if boxing let Mosley fight after admitting to Roids, and Tyson after the bite, then why not Margarito. Now getting liscensed in the US is a whole other story. Not sure if and when that will happen. What do you guys think?

The Tyson Bite and Steroid scandal is not the worst things to happen in boxing....People don't seem to know things from the 40's 50's 60';s 70's etc....Shit Ali alone topped them all

Not sure if Margarito will be licensed in the US again but his suspension is up

That's why i feel that him fighting again is not that big of a deal. He served his suspension and had his liscense taken away. Now let him continue on. I don't think he's the same fighter he was, before the scandal. I really don't see him fighting Pac despite what Arum might say. He'll fight some bums in Mexico, then probably get a liscense somewhere in the US and fight on a undercard.

I am excited to see Margarito in the ring again. He is getting old but he may get an ESPN fight or two.

antonio margarito will definitely get a license to box in the U.S. in the near future. why? because he'll make money for arum and arum has alot of power in boxing circles.

regarding margarito's match on may 8th, in mexico, he'd better come prepared cause he's fighting a very tough opponent, roberto garcia. this guy is really good and vastly underrated. the undercard is going to be really good as well. wbc interim super featherweight champion, jorge solis defends his title against puerto rico's mario santiago. in a great, great matchup between two top prospects, urbano antillon is pitted against the hard-hitting, undefeated brandon rios of la colonia, oxnard. and still, alfonso lopez, son of finito lopez is also scheduled to fight on the undercard.

i will definitely be buying this ppv event. if margarito can get past the tough roberto garcia impressively, i think he can win another world title.

There really is a vast difference between steroids & biting in the ring & what Margarito did. The fact is the precedent was there with Luis Resto & Panama Lewis, who were both banned for life. The same should have applied here.

FUCK ANTONIO MARGARITO! and he'll never win a world title without cheating, Martinez would beat the shit out of him in a rematch and well Williams will just repeat, but Mayweather and Pacquiao demolish him, as does Mosley in a rematch, again this guy shouldn't be allowed to fight anymore only a fan boy would say different

He should have been suspended for life but what are you going to do?.....

The best way to go about it is boycott his fights...Not everyone is going to do so because sadly enough less people care then those who do on what he has done....

Personally I am just glad he was caught before anyone really was hurt...Don't know and don't want to get into it if he has or hasn't gotten away with cheating or has or hasn't cheated before this incident...I mean he has looked good in one fight like shit in another...Margarito was always known for his chin and stamina...That was enough to wear some guys down so he could get the work...Others Like Cintron were just not what they were cracked up to be...Then again who knows

Point is he was exposed and for that regardless of who in the past was victim if any we don't have to worry hopefully about any in the future

I agree with Daxx. We can't stop him from getting his license but what we can do is boycott his fights. Don't watch. Catch it on youtube or something. I know I'll never respect Margarito enough to watch another fight of his. I don't even watch his old fights. He cheated in the worst way possible. Its still disgusts me thinking about it. If my own brother did that bullcrap Margarito did I would boycott him the same way. There has to be a limit in what boxing will take. Margarito committed the worst crime in boxing.

Margarito has NEVERapologized or even admitted that he did anything wrong. And until he does, him being relicensed should not even be considered.

He is a scumbag for what he tried to do.

Indeed. Margarito is a rotter, I certainly have no interest in seeing him fight again. People who cannot admit when they have done wrong are the lowest of the low.

You are absolutely correct! I forgot all about that. Margarito has actually went even further than not apologizing or admitting guilt. Margarito is actually playing himself out to be a victim. His trainer did this without him knowing. Its sickening. And I agree, if he can't even admit and apologize then he need not his license.
