    Default Gamboa won saturday night

Cant seem to find a thread on the fight. He won a unanimous decision over an unbeaten barrios.

I`ll start off by saying the ring was just about the size of half a football pitch. You could of had 3-4 simultaneous featherweight title fights all at the same time. It almost appeared it had been custom made for a floyd mayweather-usain bolt fight

Because of the above the exchanges were few and far between but when they did manage to come together gamboas speed was the telling factor.

Barrios got dropped by a sharp punch in the 8th but never really looked wavered by it. Gamboa once again as the fight went on dipped his hands below his waist and on 2-3 occasions got caught with good clean punches

    Yuriorkis Gamboa 18-0(15)

It's kind of rough on the ring size thing, especially having a cofeature of Heavyweights and Featherweights.

Gamboa just played with him. He was either told to go rounds or wanted to himself. Seemed to get rocked at one point too. But looked like he could have stopped the fight whenever he wanted.

what the hell was that all about?

surely the ring size should be based on the main attraction

You'll have to talk to Ahmet Oener about that. He usually just deals with Light Heavies and up.
