It looks like he had a change of opponents, originally he was going to fight Jason Estrada on next weeks FNF and now he's scheduled to fight Owen Beck.
Anyone know what happened there? Did Estrada get injured or something?

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
If something happened it hasn't hit the news yet. The Estada fight was sealed up so I have no idea what could have happened.

So Estrada has "withdrawn for unknown reasons". Could be an illness or something. That's not like him so you know he must be injured or sick or something.

Well whoever posted that is a fucking moron. Tony Thompson is a VERY difficult fighter to beat and he simply hasn't gotten the chances vs top level guys because he's 6'6 250 and a southpaw that can box pretty well and has great defense.
I doubt Thompson has improved since the Wlad fight, but I'd favor him over a lot of guys. I think guys like Povetkin and Boytsov and hell anyone not named Klitschko would have trouble with him. He's only lost twice and only been stopped once (by Wlad in 10 rounds!).
Here's a fun fact, TT fought Adnan Serin before Ruiz fought him and Tony stopped him in 5 whereas Ruiz stopped him in 7.
Thompson is a good heavyweight, he's tough to beat. He was one of Wlad's tougher opponents in recent times
Well here's the thread, notice after my retort there is no reply.

"Neither of the guys is a top 30 heavyweight." Well that doesn't answer my question, but give Thompson a little credit, he was the most competitive competition against Wlad in recent years. By that I mean he landed the most punches in compubox history against him. Overall I just like to see competitive boxing doesn't matter if they are ranked high or not. For the record Thompson is ranked #10 by the Ring, so take that as you will.

I agree with Lyle and Sheep. Thompson has a dificult style and lump that on tomp of being a Southie at that... Tough opposition. Wlad was just simply... Better but Thompson sure gave him a run at it. Wlad is still at his peak and if ushered along like ES did in his last fight, telling Wlad he didn't want another bullshit decision, could probably KO most insid 4 or so. He's just very measured.
I never go on other forums cuz I just get irritated. Most of the core guys on here disguss, may disagree... But at the end of the day, are pretty well informed as far as the sport goes. You don't find that at most other forums.

That's funny. Not a top 30 heavyweight. Name 29 heavyweights better than him. I'll let you kick milmascaracas in the nuts if you can do it.
