Thread: Richard Towers

Now I know this is a fairly obscure boxer, most fight fans in the UK won't know who he is, let alone all the guys on here from around the globe.

Just wondering what peoples thoughts are about him?

Has he the skills to be a world champion?

It's very early days, 5-0, but in the two fights I've seen of him, I think he could be the next big (no pun intended) thing.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he is going to go on to great things. I just have a feeling.

He is 7-0 and it is very early days but he does have potential we can but wait until he starts fighting better oposition to judge him further!

Look at the records of the guys he's been fighting, particularly their last six fights on the boxrec green/red block thingies. Let's wait till he gets in the ring with somebody more mobile than him who can punch back.

Richard Towers - Boxer

Is this the mixed-race HW of the Ingles? He's a decent fighter, but you can't really make a judgement on that quite yet. Unless he comes into the ring in top shape unlike Fury, Chisora or Sexton, but right now all those guys would probably wax him.

That's the one.

I just have a good feeling about him. I know nothing of his amatuer pedigree other than he was in prison for a part of it.

He has been fighting people I would have probably beat so far, but I just have one of those gut feelings (not curry related) that he will go on to big things.

He just seems sharper at an earlier stage than Fury, Sexton and co.
