Default C'mon fellow haters, stand up and salute THE MAN

Like most on here I wanted PBF to lose, big time.

I hate that trashy, arrogant piece of shit and if a human being ever deserved a beat down it was him. I put all my eggs in Shane's basket and crossed every finger, toe & limb. I also placed £6 of my hard earned sterling on Sugar beating himr! I knew it was foolish but the heart over ruled the head!

That said, and as the narcotics and cider subside, how fucking good was Floyd? Round 2 aside he made a future HOF'er look amature. I hate that cocky piece of s*** but damn he was a league above, on the front foot too! Anyone here thinks a prime LW Shane beats a prime LW Floyd?

I don't, PBF has no flaws that I can see!!! I'm there if Pac Vs Floyd happens but PBF will dodge that onslaught all god damn night long!

PS - It's 5am in the UK and I'm wasted. Please disregard all of the above if you don't agree!

I hate PBF's personality will every ounce of my soul. But I have MUCH RESPECT for his skills in the ring, props for a great performance against a HOF fighter.

Yeah Floyd was superb. You have to give it to him, he just rises to every occasion and excels every time.

    Completely one sided fight.

Ironically Floyd is simply too far superior to his contempories for his wins to enhance his legacy. He makes his opponents look so bad that beating them doesn't seem a big deal.

It's a strange paradox, but if Floyd wasn't quite as good, he'd actually be more highly regarded.

Well dam I thought mayweather would win a decision but said no way is it this wide, well I guess I have to eat my words. I actually have yet to see the fight due to work, but judging from espn and the posts on here it seems that after the 2nd round it was all floyd...I don't know maybe he just isn't ever going to get beat, perhaps that good...not exciting but does whatever he needs to win...

give the guy credit, Floyd did exactly what he said he was gonna do, and that was fuck Shane Mosley up, Shane is now all of a sudden old and now, and the thing is that that's no shock, i've said it over and over, Floyd could beat DLH, Hatton, Marquez, Mosley, Pacquiao, Cotto, Williams, Martinez, Pavlik, Bute, and Haye back to back and you'll find a way to make him look like a bitch

Floyd won and looked fairly impressive, but let's face it, Mosley got old today. As I said yesterday, how many 38 year olds roll out their career best performances in the lower weight classes?

Floyd did work tonight, good chin as well. That shot that Mosley landed in the second was no joke. Floyd will school Pac, bust his face up all night. Freddie knows this too, if Floyd sticks to his guns with the blood tests, in which i think he should. I am not sure this fight will happen.

Definitely interested in seeing what Freddie has to say after this.

Shane was indeed 38, but he was the best welter in the world and many people thought it would be close. So let's not take anything away from him.

But he hadn't fought in nearly a year and a half and to be in a megafight at that age? These are concerns we all had before the fight and that is why most were picking Mayweather. Mosley clearly wasn't anywhere near the fighter he was 10 years ago and it was a little bit sad to see. Now if the fight had taken place 4 months after Margarito it might have been more competitive, but with the extra year off along with advancing age? It was bound to have an influence.

I'm convinced that even the likes of Collazo and Berto would have given Mosley an extremely rough night going on what I saw tonight. I'm not hating, but just trying to provide a realistic counterpoint to the gushing praise we are bound to get in this thread. It was a good win for Floyd, but we shouldn't go too overboard.

True, I am very cynical and I'm a little sad that Mosley couldn't do more. Yes, Floyd did the job he set out to do and he deserves credit for doing that. Just like he deserved credit for beating up an unbeaten Hatton. Just like he deserved credit for outworking a bigger DLH. I am cynical, but in my defence I do give credit to the victor. It was one sided from the third onwards and I know that. But, yeah the cynic in me refuses to credit it all to Mayweathers skills as I really don't think we saw a peak condition Mosley.

Well.... It's not so much what Floyd did as it was what Mosley didn't do. So ya salute to Floyd for showing up! That's about all he had to do. The few times Mosley threw that jab it was working. After that performance by Shane where do you expect to see Shane on P4P list?

Mayweather may have had something to do with the way Mosley looked.

If Mayweather had fought Mosley's pace like Margarito did then it may have ended the same way, but Floyd made Shane fight his pace.

A lot of the reason Shane looked bad tonight was because Mayweather made him look that way and did that to him.

Very impressive. I couldnt believe it when Floyd was standing toe to toe with Shane. Then in the 2nd I was on my feet actually cheering for Shane (I support floyd but didnt really care who won this fight as they are both good) and was even yelling for Floyd to stop holding lol That right hand was massive and I think would of knocked alot of other guys out cold. Then the other punch had floyds legs like spaghetti and he still managed to stay up. Then came the boxing clinic and Mosley just looked like he couldnt get set because everything Floyd did would discourage him from attacking.
