Default Fantasy Super 6 Light Welterwieght Tournament

So this is how I believe the Light Welterweight Super Six Tournament should look like. The six fighters would be : Khan, Alexander, Maidana ,Ortiz, Bradley and Katsidis. ( Assuming he'd move up to 140lbs. I picked him over Marquez since Juan Manuel first has to get past Diaz and because he would be almost 40 at the end of the tournament) I also passed on Hatton since he doesn't look like he'll be making 140 anytime soon

    These are my matchups:

Khan vs Alexander - Both are fast guys, but I think Khan would come out the victor after a fast paced ,tactical fight. Khan UD

Maidana vs Kasidis - This would be a blast! Katsidis would start fast and win some early rounds until Maidana catches him in the middle rounds and ko's him Maidana mid round KO

Ortiz vs Bradley - Both fighters would have their moments, but I favor Bradley to wear down and ko Ortiz in the late rounds . Bradley late round KO

    Round 2

Khan vs Katsidis- I'd see Khan dominating this fight from start to finish and ending it in the late rounds by ko . Khan late round ko

Alexander vs Ortiz- This would be tight boxing match and dead even after 6 but in the second half, Ortiz is being broken down and barerly survies. Alexander UD

Bradley vs Maidana- It would be a explosive fight with at least 1 or 2 knockdowns. Bradley wins more rounds. Bradley UD

    Round 3

Khan vs Ortiz- Khan's speed and activity makes Ortiz retire in his corner near the championship rounds. Khan late round Ko

Alexander vs Maidana -Alexander wins a safe and confortable decision. Alexander UD

Bradley vs Katsidis- I see this as a tough fight for Bradley. It could be very close , but I favour Bradley to win by a late ko in a fast and explosive fight . Bradley late Ko

Assuming these fights would happen and results would be as I predicted , we'd have these two semi final fights:

Khan vs Maidana- Altough Maidana is not as technically good as the other fighters, he is dangerous because of his power and good chin. Maidan could spark him but I'm picking Khan on points.

Bradley vs Alexander- Alexander will score the upset by countering Bradley, and fighting the smarter fight. Alexander SD

    FINAL

Khan vs Alexander 2 : This would be their second fight against each other. Khan would again outscore Alexander. Khan SD

    Khan wins the super 6

I wouldnt pick Khan to win, altho he is maybe the best pure boxer of that bunch i see someone getting to his chin in amongst that opposition.
Altho i love Katsidis as a fighter i think he is best suited at 135 and would struggle with that oppostion at 140.
If Judah is moving to 140 he might be an option as well. Big name, and still dangerous.

My two favorites would be Alexander and Khan. Yeah, Alexander would outpoint Bradley imo.

as for Judah, he hasn't done anything as of recent but could have success at 140. He has the speed , but these are young guys with alot more heart than Judah . Id only pick him vs Katsidis

I think Khan would beat Alexander but i don't think he'd beat Bradley just yet. He'd beat Ortiz quite easily imo. Katsidis could give him trouble, and Maidana is a wild card. It'd be quality if they got this on. Not that they will....

I would of had Guzman instead of Katsidis, but its no big deal, Bradley & Alexander don't meet in the rounds but would both enter the final undefeated, Bradley SD!

What a great write up, really enjoyed reading how it would play out.

I agree all round pretty much, with the hardest to judge being Katsidis. You drew him against one of my favourite fighters in the first round (Maindana) and I think Maidana would demolish most, but I have a sneaky feeling Katsidis would have too much power for him and after a few knock downs each, Maidana would get counted out.

I really can't pick between Khan, Alexander and Katsidis. As much as I love Maidana and I would want him to win, I think his hot headedness and inexperiece would cause him to get found out in at least one fight.

Im suprised so many people would pick Khan over Bradley and Alexander.

I'd vote Alexander to beat Bradley by UD in the final, both going through undefeated providing they wouldn't face off before then.

That is not true at all. Devon Alexander is easily on par with those two.

I agree, Alexander has alot of skill . The thing with Bradley though , he's fast and always in amazing physical condition which gained him much respect but he's not much of a boxing technician. The fight that always comes to mind is when he fought Kendall Holt; he lacked defensive skills but did show great recovory after those knock downs. He's a great example of how heart at times can overcome great barriers and inexperience. ( yeah, I think he still can get better than he is)

Bradley didnt have a great amatuer background, did he??

If Khan fought Alexander first Khan would lose. Khan is not ready for Alexander but given time and the right couple of matchups including some of the lesser fighters mentioned he would beat them all.
