Default David Lemieux have done it again!

Wow, I've been following the guy for quite some time, but he's starting to impress me.

TKO in the first round again Elvin Ayala

I agree Ayala is falling, but he still hold up 12 round again AA two years ago.

On a side note, Yvon Michel said after the fight that Froch-Abraham clan wanted to add lemieux as a secondary fight in Montreal if the city were chosen. Sound like we'll see more of Lemieux pretty soon

I'm still nowhere near sold on him. A good boxer with a solid jam is going to give him a lot of problems. He still has a ton a questions hanging around him. All that aside, it was a good win and a very impressive performance.

Ayala fought the wrong fight. But that's his own stupidity. I don't think anybody expected Ayala to win. But I doubt anybody expected him to get blown in the first either. I agree Lemieux has questions and still has a lot to prove. But it was an impressive performance. His power looks to be very real. He moved Ayala back with every punch.

I don't think he's the next big thing but at 22, he shows quite good things, a bit more than what many people want to give him credit for. Let's not forget he's still very young and has a lot to learn yet but this quick annihilation of Ayala should reward him with at least a bit of credit.

i don't see anyone here not doing that, it was a good solid win and Lemieux looked solid, but he still has a lot to prove, and the fact that he's only 22 is just in his favor, meaning he has plenty of time to do it and he's right on track

One of the strongest inside fighters in the middle weight classes. I agree that a slick boxer presents something different but he doesn't have to worry about that until he gets to the very top of the division.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

i was definitely impressed by this kid, lemieux. this guy not only can punch like a mule but has good hand skills and good boxing skills. only time will tell if he's the real deal but right now, the kid is impressive. ayala by the way, was no slouch so this was a good win for the kid.

Looks to be a beast of a puncher. Think he is ready for a Sergio Mora type of fight?

I think he's definitely ready for that kind of a fight. Mora's not going to go in there and try to go to war with him like Ayala did, or at least I would assume he wouldn't, and his awkwardness would be a good test for a young fighter like Lemieux.

i don't think mora would ever fight this kid, especially in canada. furthermore, if he ever did, this kid lemieux wouldn't respect mora's lack of power. he'd go in throwing bombs from the beginning. frankly, i think he stops mora early to mid rounds.

Mora was willing and able to fight Pavlik until Pavlik chose to dishonor their contract, and although he lacks power he has the skills and speed to make up for it, his chin is more than decent just watch his fights with Forrest

Mora would be an awesome opponent, but he's trying a comeback after losing the belt to Forest. Lemieux is the sort of guy that can "destroy" your boxer, especially during his comeback. Imagine Mora been KOed in the first half, that could put him in retirement and there's not that much money to make in a fight again Lemieux. I'm pretty sure it won't happen.

Ayala took the challenge because he just lost a world tittle fight and wanted to comeback in the ranking fast. But this 1 round TKO will probably make it difficult to find new challenger...

There's the fight. He's got a nice left hook but they don't want to rush him. I wouldn't put him in with Mora yet.
