Default Bradley looking strong and calling out the big names..Maybe a bit too soon?

Looking big, strong and with 1970's pimpstache intact Bradley is calling out the big names...Supposedly he is sparring with guys in the MW division and above and walking around at over 160 fit!!!!....In this pic he is from what the report says 155 but those guns don't look like that of a 140lb fighter for sure.....Wonder if he will add some pop to the punches of will this be bad bad news for him?

I wouldn't bet too much on Bradley's new muscles. When he's in with dangerous opponents, he doesn't sit down on his punches as much as he could. He'll take the fight to guys that can't hurt him. He seems to have a pretty decent chin, judging by the shot he took from Holt.

Muscles are nice, but some guys are just born to chuck bombs. Sometimes its leverage, sometimes its form, sometimes its in the legs, sometimes you can't tell where it comes from... but the punch dynamics mean a lot. Not saying that muscle is worth nothing. Tua, Ibeabuchi, Urango, Tyson... all bulky guys with good to great power. Then take a guy like Hearns, who looks like Snoop Dogs personal trainer...and he still lit people up.

He's a physical adonis but his thing is hustle, speed tenacity and some improved boxing. He gets on trouble when he loads up and gets frontal.,.not to mention he has slightly wavered in some late rounds with stamina.Too much bulk can just slow him and keep him tight.Lead him into trading with his strong mentality.Say 147 max for him..,154 is really rushing it.Too much I believe.

This has premature ejaculation written all over it. I don't think Bradley had an "easy" time with Witter or Holt.. Both of whom followed up with unimpressive losses after their meeting. I think Bradley is a little little guy... Very tenacious, and good hand speed to keep a power puncher at bay, but if he doesn't stop throwing arm punches he's gonna fall short in big fights

The whole point of the title of looking big strong and fight along with the rest of the post had to do with the fact he is moving up to 147 for his next fight and he looks ready and not undersized other then hight for his WW fight

Urango's power is not that great he has less then a 70% ko ratio and has never KO'd an elite opponent...His best KO is over a past his best Bailey....

Tyson would have been a KO puncher regardless of what weight he was at...His bulk was natural not built up....It was his style that brought in the power everything was from the ground up with leverage...

Ibeabuchi was not overly muscular...No more then Bruno, Ruddock and certailnly not more then Holyfield....

What has made Tua as successful as he has been is more to do with his ability to absorb punishment and keep going....He hasnty had a decent win in over 8 years so his power has done little for him

I understand your point about the post and somewhere in your mind maybe you thought I was taking a shot at you, but I wasn't. My point was that bradley isn't going to be anymore effective at the weight no matter how much he talks about bulking up and hes done a lot of talking, as usual. Its good not to look undersized if youre moving up, its not intimidating anyone because watching tape on the guy tells you his bulk isn't coming into play in his favor from the style he fights. He doesn't sit down on his punches enough, he's more effective when he uses his speed. That bulk could hurt him in that respect as has already been posted by Spicoli. He's bulked up and has bigger guns. The meanest guy with the biggest gun will still have the hardest time intimidating someone with it if he's holding it backwards.

Heres a look at Tua and Ike. There doesnt seem to be much disparity there in size, except for height. http://davidtua.ru/wp-content/upload...-Ibeabuchi.jpg

Tysons bulk was natural, but my point is bulk is bulk. As I said sometimes power comes from or the legs etc. As for tyson's style bringing the power. Not so sure I agree with you. Yes he sprung from the legs and was always moving forward. Rooney brought Pazienza along like a miniature tyson style wise and the style didn't do squat for him.

So Tua's wins in the last 8 years, means he didnt have any effective power his whole career? Not sure how many punishment he absorbed in those 25+ fights where he Ko'd someone in 3 rounds or under... but ok, if you say so.

No I did not think you were taking a shot at me I just wanted to make it clear that I was not basing anything on the fact Bradley has muscles...The big strong part had nothing to do with muscle size in truth it was more that he did njot look undersized...he looked like he was able to get in with no problems and he did not look blown up etc....The points about the natural bulk is if a fighter is used to it his whole life hes body is not adjusting to the bulk and it is not going to hinder him...Jeff Lacy is a prime example...The muscles hurt him more then anything because he was winded and the extra bulk takes away stamina...

Kind of Like Bettis in the NFL the guy is naturally a sparkplug that is why he can run like he was able...if he was a skinny guy who added that bulk he would not have been able to move so easily....Hence the point with Pazienza...Vinny had all that bulk added to him so it did nothing for him...as for the style of Cus the catskill style can be taught to anyone but it is not ment for everyone
