Undefeated Russian Maxim Vlasov, 17-0 (8 KOs) looks to extend his undefeated record against Jerson Ravelo who despite having a promising amateur career has been thrown to the wolves lately in the pro ranks. Being routed by both Andre Ward and Allen Green, he was also destroyed by David Lopez. What did those guys all have in common a great workrate, which is something also shared by Vlasov. I expect this to go quite a few rounds, but a lot stoppage from Vlasov has to be the likely money.
Sher Husanov (seen above holding what looks like an Oakland A's belt). Has been in against less than stellar competition with the exception of his last opponent Timur Nergadze who was an amatuer standout in Uzbekistan. His opponent tonight is part of the Colombian ESPN foreign exchange program, a heavy handed underskilled slugger Jhon Berrio. There should be plenty of opportunity for Husanov to get a spectacular KO, but there is always the chance he gets chin checked and the ride gets bumpy. I predict a mid-round stoppage here.
If the other two fights are short enough we may get to see former olympian get in another paid sparring session against Quandray Robertson, who will be touted as having great experience because he's been trounced by modern title holders.
