    Default Excuses...excuses...

Anyone ever see a fighter make more excuses after losing than Allan Green ?

I mean Jesus Christ...he was weight drained and over trained and had no legs and blah blah blah.

He had no gameplan and he can't fight inside for sh1t and he lost the fight.

The guy has more excuses than Bilbo after yet again failing to satisfy a woman.

I was saying the same thing on another forum. He always makes excuses.

His bark has always been bigger than his bite, and he got beat last night in a completely one-sided fight, by a better fighter. Plain and simple. It was a boring and ugly hugfest, but he lost because he didn't seem to know what to do. He just seemed confused as fuck throughout the whole fight.

I wonder what excuse he'll use when Kessler beats him.

I did have a good laugh last night during the fight though. Caiz Sr kept saying "watch your feet", and Danny said "noooooo, it took him a year and a half to learn how to stop looking at this feet!"

There was certainly a wheelbarrow full of excuses from Allan Green, but I believe every pne of them.

They all seemed legit to me and something HAD to be wrong, right? That was a no-show for Green.

Was pretty bad.Always think they should have a clause in contracts...the crutch clause...for bs excuses you can slowly see develope as a guy loses round after round and settles into excepting it....or the "just glad to be here" clause.

He's one of those guys that talks mad shit and hypes themselves, no matter how hard you kick their ass. I bet he will talk the same I'm the best shit, the go and knockout someone from the contender again.....lol what a joke. I thought he had a legit excuse in the Miranda fight, but now he's got no excuse.

I'm no Allan Green fan and I think he and Froch, being the least talented, are in the hunt for last place but I do think he is telling the truth. It looks bad for Green to say he was flat but it was rather evident that he was flat. Green was flat from round 1 on. He came in 2 pounds under and he is the bigger guy of the two. I believe he did overtrain due to the length of his back to back training camps. I have been flat before due to weight problems and it is terrible. Your body really will not respond. But all in all it doesn't matter. Green got beat every minute of every round so I doubt that it really even mattered much. As a fighter I never made an excuse even though there are some legitimate ones but it doesn't matter because it only makes you look like a sore loser. Sometimes you're just not your best but the show must go on. But I do think he was telling the truth.

It's shameful to come out and make excuses the way he was doing. I wonder what he will say after Kessler knocks him out.

....I expect we'll hear worse from whomever loses the Harrison-Chicken Little fight.....it COULD be Chicken Little (not likely but there's a slight fraction of a chance it will be) but either way they'll provide more excuses as Audley isn't known for being humble in defeat. Next year is ALWAYS Audley's year, he's the Chicago Cubs of British Boxing

Oh and although this isn't "boxing" but someone who ALWAYS has an excuse is Tito "I fought with a fractured skull" Ortiz.

The best part of Green's excuses was, after he said them he followed up with the words - 'But, I don't want to take anything away from Andre Ward...'

    Eh, you just did.

After he gave his interview did anyone see him explaining to Ward why he lost? Ward was just nodding and probably thinking " what a fag"

He seemed like a nice bloke from what I saw from him on 360 but he was very quick with his excuses. It was as if he was planning them in the ring during teh fight as he was getting beaten up. He could have used Wards dirty tactics and use of head and elbows as a reason or just say he got owned by the better man but will be back.

He didnt show any effort TBH and its pretty unfair that a guy who loses to Miranda then every round to Ward goes straight into a world title fight with Kessler next up. I think Mikkels place in the finals is secure.

...yea it get's old. One guy wins one guy looses. Bottom line. Before the fight green had no complaints. He felt great, the extra prep time helped, he'd blow ward out the water blah blah blah. What happend to one guy just being better. And hell if you don't want to admit he's a better overall fighter at least say he was better than you on that night. They don't put excueses on boxrec so none of them matter. On his best day he would have lost saturday. Ward is just better. And i picked green to pull the upset.

Andre Ward is a quality fighter and there is no shame in losing every minute of every round against him.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Oh there's shame. Only because Green was just standing around drinking a 40 for the entire fight.
