    Default Paul brigg$

Hey guys, over the last couple of days the Danny Green v Paul Briggs fite have obviously left a sour taste in most boxing fans' mouths.

With rumours getting tossed around everywhere about whether or not the fite was fixed and all the other elements which affected its outcome one of them to come out was that Paul Briggs was basically broke, living week-to-week with no real money and nothing to show for his boxing career.

It is reported that for this fite Briggs was to gain a purse of $200,000. Apparently an amount Paul has never been offered through out his career.

My quick question to you guys is, if this is true does anyone know how much Briggs could've/would've taken home for each fite with Adamek? How much would the purse's have been for those fights for him?

Neither of them were even main events. I remember watching both of them with my brother. Both fighters relatively unknown, but not untested. They just were never promoted very well. I would venture the purse total for this fights being around $150,000 and $200,000 before the split.

I think the problem with this fight is not that Briggs took it, it is that some sanctioning body actually let him fight. This is such a disgrace to boxing. I am very fearful for Briggs mental health.

What is it with Danny Green picking on corpses as of late ? fighting Paul Briggs was a disgrace. And i have no doubt that Paul Briggs in his prime, would of for certain beat the snot out of the overrated Danny Green, plus i thought Paul Briggs beat Tomasz Adamek in there 2nd meeting aswell.
