Default Diaz-Marquez undercard live on 101 network

Its channel 239 on DirectTv, I don't know if that channel is DirectTV only or what.

Sakio Bika-something Mendy was just on and had a crazy ending.

    Spoilers

Bika was hammering Mendy and dropped him with a left-headbutt-right-headbutt-left right and then knocked his ass out with a right while Mendy was on his knees. DQ, first round, Mendy wins.

Coverage in the UK doesn't start for another hour and a half. Already missed the Groves fight - although I am sure they will fit it into the programme at some point. Gutted I missed the 90 secs of the Bika fight.

Juan Manuel Montiel (great fighters name and trained by Nacho Beristain but still only 5-3) vs Peralta 4-5

50 seconds in and Bob Sheridan going on about Montiel being a future world class guy Maybe he was brought up tough? He doesn't look future world class.

The most unnecessary round by round ever:

Montiel winning the round but taking some here and there which shocks Sheridan because of how world class Montiel is. Right at the bell Montiel drops him. Sheridan says he was winning the round anyway but he dropped him so its a 10-9 round.

    10-8 Montiel.

    Round two

Peralta seems to have recovered some. Montiel's not bad but not sure what Sheridan's going on about. He does most of his work to the body and Peralta's looking pretty ragged by the end of the round. To be fair he looked a bit ragged when the opening bell rang. He's got some heart though, he's trying but a lot of wild shots.

    Round three

Barely watched this round. Peralta lost another but landed a couple big wild shots, neither guy has a lot of power though.

    30-26 Montiel.

    Round four

this is strangely entertaining. Peralta started to get some things going in round 3 but really got it going here landing a lot of wild ass shots and Montiel didn't do nearly as much although he came on late. Montiel also appears to have two cuts. Bob Sheridan is nuts.

    Peralta's round

    39-36 Montiel.

    round 5

Montiel with the comeback round. Peralta gassed now and Montiel back to doing most of his good work to the body although he went low, very low, a number of times and was warned twice.

    Montiel 49-45

    round 6

Peralta has a broken nose apparently and is spitting out blood. He's a legit tough guy. Montiel is officially not potentially world class.

    Montiels round and fight.

They are showing round six of George Groves vs Alfredo Contreras. Groves is the prospect.

I'm not sure what the point of that was. Since Groves is British and apparently there's some interest

    spoilers

They circle for 30 seconds, Groves lands a reasonable left hook. Contreras shakes it off and the ref stops it. I assume Groves was dominating beforehand and they said something about Contreras not really trying to win. David Haye at ringside which doesn't happen often.
