I got home because we couldn't get it on PPV, and saw from the 8th round on, but in spansih or italian so I couldn't understand it, but it looked liked Dawson dominated for the most part the rounds I could see. What happened earlier?

Pascal dominated most of the rounds.
He was FASTER, as I had predicted, and threw many more punches.
Dawson was tentative and seemed out of it.
He won I'd say 2 of the first 8 rounds. Maybe 3 at the most.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
He's not faster, but maybe in this fight he was, the only thing he is faster which is his footspeed, and thats because his footwork is so sloppy.
I should correct what I said, I actually only saw the end of the 8th round, so from the 9th on it appeared Dawson was wrecking Pascal.
I read people talking about Dawson's heart, and what happened to him? I mean his first fight against Glen Johnson showed all the heart in the world.
Wrecking Pascal get the fuck out of here hahahaha!!
Suprise suprise you miss the part where your boy was getting dominated but instead of just reading the thread at the top of the page you decide to open your own on how you saw Dawson wrecking Pascal when you just coincidentally happened to catch the rounds when Pascal was starting to gas but didn't catch the rounds before when everytime Dawson got clocked he would hug the shit out of Pascal just to hang on and was getting beat handily.
Dawson was wrecking Pascal in rounds 9 through 11 wasn't he? It obviously was coincidence that I saw what I did without the luxury of seeing it in english, I was just asking what happened because it looked from the rounds I saw that Dawson was handing it to Pascal, if you saw those 3 rounds would you not draw the same conclusion?
PS. the thread isn't labelled Dawson-Pascal round by round or anything why am I suppose to draw the conclusion dawson-pascal this weekend is supposed to be you guys talking about the fight right now? That thread was oppened awhile ago.
Hilarious....Dawson got his ass whooped..at no point was he "wrecking" anything......
"Sixty forty I kicks yo' ass, Sixty forty I tears yo' ass up" - Roy Jones
really because I saw him hurt Pascal a few times, his balance seemed poor, but he was landing a lot cleaner shots down the stretch and doing good work when he got Pascal on the ropes, except that he didn't keep Pascal on the ropes.
Pascal was definitely stunned on occasion. You got the feeling Dawson could have got him out of there if he just had the courage to let his hands go more. Nasty cut to end it too!
are you kidding me? Dawson basically had Pascal out on his feet in the final 2 rounds, although Pascal was ahead comfortably, i had it 8 rounds to 3 for Pascal, but i have no doubt that Dawson was closer to getting the KO than Pascal ever was
in the rematch i would be shocked if Dawson doesn't win by TKO at about the 7th
and yea there is a rematch clause...
“There were four or five head butts and the ref didn’t do anything,” he said. “But we have a rematch clause and I will be back and I will bring the title back to the States.” Chad Dawson
difference was Abraham was getting schooled period, Dawson was only losing cause he didn't engage or even use the jab, once Dawson began to work behind the jab he controlled Pascal completely, he finally stepped it up and had Pascal basically out, it was clear who was gassed and who wasn't, IMO it was a case of Dawson giving it away more than it was Pascal being the better fighter, i'll pick Dawson by midround TKO in a rematch
agreed, hell even his trainer was trying to light a fire under his ass, and still he finally started to listen in the later rounds, in a way it's best that it happened (the loss) might serve him as a good lesson to do more and not trying to get by with the bare minimum
I can see were Taeth is coming from. Dawson was beating Pascal up a bit in the last two rounds, but prior to that he had done little more than back away from Pascal flurries.
I've thought Dawson was moving sideways in career for awhile and lastnight was finally his step back. Slice it anyway you want but the fact he is going into his third (?) consecutive rematch says something. It baffles because at times he's shown to be a very smooth mover and fluid but cannot- will not sustain. Truthfully he looked drained. He was very concience of the bodyshots and was being effected by single punches. Early on he fought with little confidence and wouldn't sit down on his attack, you don't just 'choose' to do that. I think it's as much mental as physical with him and his post fight interview left alot to be desired.
