I think Paul Williams is one of the most over rated fighters in the world, only two/three years ago he was the new Tommy Hearns , I think Martinez does a better job this time and wins clearly.

I think Paul Williams is one of the most over rated fighters in the world, only two/three years ago he was the new Tommy Hearns , I think Martinez does a better job this time and wins clearly.

I remember someone telling me that Paul Williams, didn't really have an Amateur background. Which is why he probably doesn't use his physical advantages, and he doesn't fight more technically.

I disagree in that I really like what Paul Williams brings. Sure, he doesn't use his reach and for sure he is sloppy, but he comes to fight everytime. I thought he did enough to edge the last fight on aggression and outhustling Martinez. This time out I think he will do much the same, but be more aware of the type of fighter Martinez is and plan accordingly. Martinez is very good, so could win, but I like Williams.

That fact that it could go either way makes it an intriguing bout, but for me it's time for Willams to step up and make that statement.

williams is a monstor for his weight (see what i did there)

sure i had martinez winning the 1st fight....JUST, but im still of the opinion that PW is top 5/7 p4p

Remember what happened to Quintana after he outboxed Williams the first time. I thought Sergio won that first fight, but it was close. Sergio is more talented than Paul, but Paul presents physical challenges for any fighter. Have they said if this fight is going to be in AC?

and with the Super six bouts being pushed back November and December could be some good months for boxing.

their first fight was razor thin close but i had williams outlasting the valiant martinez. not a fan of williams but i do respect his overall skills. i hope i'm wrong but i think williams is going to beat martinez again by another close decision. a simple case of a younger fighter outlasting the older fighter. great fight!

Great fight, looking forward to it. I really like Paul Williams and can see him beating Martinez by a wider margin this time round as I don't think Martinez brings a bucket load of variety and Williams will be ready for the tricks this time out. On the other hand, Martinez definatel has more power than Williams for me, I do think Williams is going to get knocked out sooner or later as he takes way too many shots comin in. I'm holdin a final judgement for now but I have either Williams UD or Martinez by KO/TKO.

Apparently it's at a catchweight of 157. I don't see the point in that really. Why not just have it at MW or else LMW? Why the need for the weight inbetween? Surely both men can make both weights.

I was hoping more for a Williams vs Cintron rematch so Paul could hammer Kermit down the stretch and make Cintron pull another my little pony pity party in the late rounds. But here I think Martinez keeps it more wise and crisp...in someways I see these guys going in different directions really. Take Martinez buy dec win and wouldn't rule out a tko with Paul out on his feet and swaying in the wind, all wide and sloppy.

i, too, cannot understand the need for a catch weight fight. seems like catch weights are the fad now a days. regardless, it's going to be a great fight! war martinez but i think williams takes him again!
