Default Anyone else rooting for Tarver tommorrow night?

I would love to see him knockout a heavyweight. Anyone else think he can pack some power at heavy fighting slow pokes? He looks like he put on some eight, he weighted in at 221 lbs. Thats gotta make you think he was drained his last few fights. Please let him knock out Aguilera, heavyweights need something. He kinda looks like Toney at heavyweight when he first came up, no definition, boderline man boobs. Will he have the stamina?

Didn't even know he was fighting. As it's Tarver I'm guessing 12 rounds snoozefest?

I'm definitely rooting for Tarver. Let's remember that the only 2 guys to beat him recently are Bernard Hopkins and Chad Dawson. I would have rather seen him as a cruiserweight first but I guess he figures that the heavyweights are slower then they've ever been.

History tells me that I'm supposed to be dubious of any Lightheavyweight's chances in the Heavyweight division. Like Amat says, I would have much less anxiety about Tarver fighting at Cruiserweight but there you go...

In terms of ability, I know it sounds simple but I'd expect Tarver to be like a semi old Michael Moorer... I mean he's still relatively fresh for his age, he just can't deal with sharpness and athletism of the apparently more dedicated (or maybe just more suited) individuals at 175lbs.

I wan Tarver to win and win often to expedite his getting a title shot (any title shot) so I can witness Tarver getting KTFO. And I will cheer for ANY title holder against Tarver even the 1 not named Klitschko

I will be willing him on, Tarver is a bit long in the tooth for this, but he seems like a likeable enough person. I wish him well.

You can say what you want about Tarver but even at 41 he has what the hvys lack bigtime. Charisma, the dude can chat it up and delivers himself on microphone, markets self. That said I don't give him a snowballs chance in hell of making a huge splash and last in division but his name is what got him here and he's not been taking beatings or damage. He'll end up an opponent for some bigger fish or young gun? Who's on undercard?

Yeah, he can definately outbox most heavys. I wanna see him step up a lil bit before I say that because he really wasnt caught too flush in that fight. Tarver, on the other hand was landing his shots alot, and even though he rocked Aguilera, those kinds of shots should be dropping people. Maybe Aguilera has a chin, I dunno.

Nice guy. He's going to be someones stepping stone marketed on charisma and big fight history...and at 41 with no power and prone to injury,he'll get beat up badly.
