    Default Boxing Stencil Artwork.......

Just wanted to throw a question out there for everyone. I've started to spend quite a lot of time creating stencils of boxers and my collection is growing. I'd just like to see whether there would be any interest from my fellow Saddo's in buying boxing artwork either framed or not framed? All the stencils are around A2 size and are single layer.

All stencils are hand-made and lovingly crafted, they begin life on my Mac, printed and then hand cut from polypropelene sheets with serious care with very sore fingers and thumbs once cut. Then I hand spray paint them. Damn anyone to hell who tries to pass off stencil art when its just digital. They do look very good when sprayed and would all be unique due to the hand spraying

All stencils below are mocked up framed in what would be an IKEA RIBBA Frame | Width 700mm x Height 500mm.

Unframed Stencils: £30 -£50 (dependant on the complexity of the stencil)
Postage on Unframed will be worldwide.

Fully Framed Stencils (700x500 Black or Silver Frame): plus £40 to the unframed cost.
Postage on Fully Framed is something that needs to be confirmed but will be UK only.

My list up to now is as follows and I'm just getting started with this thing:

    BOXING STENCILS ////

Paul Williams: ( Personal Fav Stencil) Cut

    Floyd Mayweather: NotCut

    Ricky Hatton: Cut

    David Haye: Cut

    Edwin Valero: NotCut

I also have a collection of movie based ones such as a great Audrey Hepburn one, a female Modern Dance pose and also ones like Quentin Tarantino. I'd also be open to comissions for anyone that would be that way inclined and have deeper pockets.

Anyone like this kind of thing for their wall?? They are very good, none of this shit, and have been well crafted / drawn, not just a shit "trace bitmap" of a photograph. I'll post some sprays up at the weekend to further gauge opinion.

    Thanks people. Good times......

    Good stuff mate.

Picked up the paper and pen myself recently and got all arty farty. Didnt do myself any favours by jumping into an oil painting of Buster Douglas Mike Tyson after many years of inactivity so its a bit ropey, did a couple of pastels after that, bit better
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

Like it man, neat work. I just love creating boxing related illustrations and would love to sell some. Who knows...... How big are your works man?? Maybe we could trade some artwork one day. That could be cool.....

The pastels are A3, the canvass is 30x20 inches I guess. Im gonna get back into the groove and do some bigger with a bit of background.

Splendid...... Get on it man. I'm gonna cut another tonight ready for a weekend spraying session, maybe Margarito. Having the Hatton and Pacquiao one's framed on the wall in my office.... Can't wait....... Got tonnes of ideas, just need to get crackin. Aiming to add a second layer the the stencils at some point in time too with a splash of colour.

What sort of cost are we looking at?

How do you do it? I thought it was a computer job, but am I right in saying you cut and spray them by hand?

James, yes man, original hand-made and lovingly crafted, they are computerised as you put it, but are then printed, hand cut from polypropelene sheets with serious care with very sore fingers and thumbs once cut. Then I hand spray paint them. Damn anyone to hell who tries to pass off stencil art when its just digital. They do look very good when sprayed and would all be unique due to the hand spraying

The paper | card stock that they get sprayed on to is as standard 240 gsm cartridge paper from Paperchase, high quality, but is open for customisation if necessary. I have used a couple of different stocks in the past that are heavier or whiter to great effect.

I'd say unframed £30 -£50 dependant on the complexity of the stencil. For framed plus £40 to the unframed cost. Postage on framed is something that needs to be confirmed.

    Davo.....

I like em mate, couldnt buy one for myself, I can appreciate art in most forms but its rare i put anything on the wall. I got some but its mostly modern and with humor in it.

We got three bulls made out of car parts and other stuff found flattened on roads in the entrance way.

We got a wood block print of a cow a horse and a sheep its named "Ray Doug and Brien"

Also got a Rankin, called 'husband and wife' its another wood block print on silk, looks like crossed between puppetry with the bloke holding strings controlling the misses from behind and both of them locked down in a jail from all the strings, (much like ,most marriages).

    I can explain it.
