Default Froch-Abraham - Nobody gives a monkeys? Fact.

There is not one thread about this fight (apart from a joint venture) on this board.

In the week of Haye-Harrison there were a billion threads per day started. No-one in Britain, apart from the hardcore, even knows this fight is happening, but it says a lot when the hardcore themselves were more interested in the Haye-Harrison "event"

For the record - Abraham wins by KO. Although Froch has a chance to bust him up early if he can get through the guard. Either way it should be a great fight.

    Thoughts?

I think it's because everyone knows what to expect from the fight, it's gonna be a tear-up.

But that means people are less interested in great fights.

As you said, this looks a gauranteed tear-up, Haye-Harrison looked a guaranteed mismatch, yet Haye-Harrison had a billion times the attention on this forum. And this is a hardcore boxing forum. Just goes to shows....

Yeah I agree, no real favorite in this fight, both guys can really bring it and I think this has a chance to be not only FOTY but could be one of the better fights we've seen in the last few years!!! I'm really looking forward to it.

Been looking forward to this one for a while now, expecting a war, fifty fifty fight for me, is Froch shop warn after Kessler n Pascal fights and can Abraham start fast enough and not just rely on a strong finish, can Carl take Arthurs best shots, does Arthur take Carls.

The amount of attention the Haye fight got was a massive joke for what it ended up being, I know what your saying man. I think Froch VS Abraham is more for hardcore fans than casual, it's not been in the media over here. It actually angers me that Froch gets no mention in the news, he's been fighting a string of top opposition but gets no credit or exposure for it, at least over here.

A combination of Froch's defense being his face and Abraham being able to hit incredibly hard makes me think Abraham gets the stoppage around round 7. Though Froch is more than capable of winning, especially if he can get through that guard regularly, or if he can get to the body often it could wear Abraham down

I am very interested in this fight and think it could be classic. Honestly, I cannot wait. We have a great weekend of boxing coming up.

Yeah, and screw the goddamn media. They play it's part in getting a fight put on the map and when it comes to fights like this there is no attention. Harrison/Haye was a shit fight from the go and anyone with an ounce of sense saw it, so for it to be hyped up was a joke. This on the other hand is a top fight between two very good pros. We don't know the result, and yet the coverage for boxing suddenly vanishes.

It shows you that Brits are often a bit thick when it comes to their boxing. Anyone that knows boxing appreciates this fight for what it is.

It's being talked about on other boards. Froch is a good fighter and the guy has faced a lot of great opposition already. Maybe it's the way he's promoted that's the problem?

Anyways should be a good fight.

Froch gives the most brilliant interviews out of any British boxer. I don't understand why he isn't more talked about. Khan, Haye, Harrison? None of these people fight the fighters that Froch does nor gives an interview with the same level entertainment.

Honestly, I don't understand why those other muppets get more attention. Froch is the real deal, whereas they are all hype jobs and frauds. Why can't the focus be on something real for once?

Definitely with you in this motion Fenster.
I've known this fight was coming and for some reason I'm not even interested.
I'll watch it and it could well be a fantastic, but I'm just not anticipating it in any way.

I'm really looking forward to this fight, I hope Froch can pull it off. It should be an epic fight!

I thought it was next weekend until the threads appeared, but I also forget birthdays and things, so dates not my speciality.

For some reason I just begrudge Showtime. Don't know why.

Now you mention it, it is daft that I'll happily pay to watch Haye vs Harrison which I knew would be farcical, yet dislike Showtime enough to watch this on a stream.

    He's just not very fashionable.

Don't really know why, he loves a brawl
