Thread: Showtime Bantamweight Tournament This Weekend

I, for one, am excited about this tournament. I'm picking Mares to beat Vic and Perez to beat Agbeko. Who are the favorites?

Wow i forgot that was this weekend. To be honest not sure who i like in this tourney, but looking forward to watching.

I had totally forgotten about this too. Can't wait now. I really like Mares, he's gonna grow as this tournament takes off. Don't like Darchinyan all that much, Perez is real good and Agbeko is pretty damn decent. Should be some great scraps i'd say....

Yea, on first glance, I think Perez should have a relatively easy night with Agbeko. Mares/Darchinyan is more of a toss up because of Vic's power, but I like Mares to outbox him. I like Mares to win the whole thing.

I wish this was getting shown in the UK, really looking forward to it. I like Mares, and think he'll win the whole thing, though he could have a tough night against Darchinyan. Perez-Agbeko should be a good fight too. The added bonus is that this tourney should be over by the summer and won't drag on

Gotta go with Mares over Vic. Heart over mind and picking King Kong over Perez in another really solid scrap.

Man i aint gonna be good for shit this weekend. Too many damn sports on, i'm picking vic to plow through everyone and eventually work his way up to getting seriously ko'ed chasing donare one day.

I think (and hope) Mares will be smart enough to outbox Vic and not go south like Mijares.
Perez wins over Agbeko in a great fight leading to a rematch with Mares, where I think Abner improves on the first fight to make sure he gets the decision this time.

The winner then faces Montiel/ Donaire winner or Moreno next year... good times.
