    Default Removing Corner Men

I was just wondering about the point of corner men especially with fighters who've had over 20 bouts in their career.

If all corner men were removed do you think it would put more ownuss on the fighters mentality and gladiatoral spirit, if a corner man is there to instruct and motivate shouldn't these skills come as 2nd nature to a boxer who should be able to anlayse where he's going wrong in the ring and should be motivated to win regardless of circumstances in the fight.

Obviously there should be a cutsman on hand to ensure the longevity of the fight.

    Hahaha!

Seriously though, it would sort out the men from the boys.

Theyd be fucked trying to stick ear buds in cuts with gloves on though, or applying grease to the faces

Imagine if you did the same with football. No manager on the sidelines. Youd end up with 11 idiots cluelessly running around like headless chickens. Or England

Clearly if you don't see the need for cornermen, you've never stepped foot in an actual bout..their guidance can prove invaluable and many times it's their work that has won/lost fights for their fighters..they are as essential as the gloves you wear..enough said

Why not just remove the ladies who walked around in the ring in between rounds carrying those number cards? We, the television viewers, don't get to see them anyway. So if we don't see them, might as well take that privilege away from the audience in the arena.

They are also there to protect fighters from themselves

Too many people certainly jump in the ring after the fight and take the limelight away from the fighter. There certainly needs to be less people immediately after the fight.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

Without cornermen, an accidental headbutt could turn an intriguing and exciting fight into the biggest bummer ever without cutman. I also think it would be a bit fatal for younger promising prospects who are lacking in experience and who need an extra guidance in the ring. All in all: it would remove a lot of excitement and I don't think it would be a good idea.

A corner man is a must. He sees what the fighter misses. He calms and inspires him. He reminds him of what to avoid and reminds him to stick with the plan. In the frenzy of screaming fans and a body that is in pain, the corner man comforts and urges his charge forward. I would remove one of the most needed people in boxing.

I certainly agree, they are invaluable in your effort to strategize and win a tough fight

They are part of the team.
I dont think they should be able to call out over the top of the action though.
That annoys me more so in MMA than anything else.
