    Default James Toney is back!

    James Toney - Boxer

I don't know what I think. I hope to god that he is training and that he destroys his man. Beyond this, I don't know. If it means 3 quick fights in a row then I will be delighted. If it means he vanishes for another year, then screw him.

    But Toney is back, thoughts?

My question is why?...Reallly what does he have left to offer? He can not beat either Klitschko, he can not beat Haye or even Adamek/ARREOLA ETC ....James last fights have been snoozers and annoying with the lack of respect he gives the sport by coming in the way he does and I don't mean appearence wise.....He was just embaressed by his MMA stint (WTF was he thinking Randy Couture?....Not the best opp for your first MMA fight is it)....Toney is just another fighter who can not leave the spotlight behind and does not have the personality to be a broadcaster etc

Needs to hang em up for good. I mean what's the point? He's probably going to come in at some ridicelous weight but claim beforehand how its different this time and how he's been preparing like a madman.

I know what you mean, I don't understand the MMA shit. It took him a year to learn that crap and he failed first attempt and here he is running back to boxing at 42.

I love classic Toney, but this is not a man who has cared about boxing for a good while. There is little to suggest this is about more than money. He's crap at MMA so boxing in the mid 40's?

I hope James murders him and follows up QUICK. But if he doesn't then we all know what it means. Just quick cash for Burger King.

he'll be fat out of shape and a shadow of his former self. He'll fit in perfect with the heavyweights then! HAHA! only joking.

no this is pointless. I think he'll pick up an injury at some point in training and that will be it.

Toney: I'm Not Worried About Bitschkos, David Gay - Boxing News

Candid interview. Apparently he's fighting Damon Reed because everyone is scared to fight him, and forget the "Bitschko sisters and David Gay" because there is no doubt he is top dog in the Heavyweight Division.

If they're scared James, its out of concern you may eat them.

James Toney would beat David Haye. He would have trouble with the sisters.

I say that because Haye's biggest win is Monte Barrett. Toney can spark Haye out if he is fit.

not now. I think haye would give him a one sided beating. In fact I can see that fight being on the cards now that the klits ain't gonna happen.

You're kidding me right? Finally I disagree with you. Monte aint Haye's biggest win at all, at Heavyweight, Valuev is. Toney was knocked down by a Sam Peter jab. He does not have it anymore, and there is little to no chance he ever even gets close to fit again. Haye would stop him at this stage. Toney would take a beating and the referee would stop it.

Let's see how Toney looks first, he has three weeks to get in shape and show us all what he has got. He's fighting a bum, but if he will just follow up and fight after then we can see. Going on recent history Toney will fight and then vanish for a year...

Toney was injured and did indeed fall from a jab. Haye hasn't proven that he can beat Sam Peter, so I am not convinced about what he can do. Haye has proven nothing, Holyfield was better against Valuev and Toney beat Holyfield. Haye is still nothing all things considered.

Toney saying he will beat Haye and The brothers grim is nothing new , blah blah blah ,
I seem to remember Toney saying he would KO Randy Couture with the first shot he landed , blah blah blah. James should hang em up in my opinion.
Remember reality is an illusion caused by a lack of alcohol .

I say we should at least see how he looks. I am insulted about the MMA thing, but James Toney deserves to at least be observed in the boxing ring. Let's just see. He should destroy this bum.

He must be running out of this.

Saying Toney is washed up is an understatement. Prime Toney was something to behold, now Toney is only good for a few laughs. I forgot who nicknamed him J-Fat here?
