At the moment he is in a bit of a Twitter war with Shannon Briggs and the tasteless fat lump of lard has Tweeted he wishes Briggs had gone 15 rounds rather than 12 with Vitali, you think ESPN would have a word about this, if that was a reporter or Journo in the UK who would be sacked for a comment like that.

ESPN doesn't really care until the journalist gets arrested or charged with some sex crime or harrassing female employees. That's how ESPN rolls.

I think Fat Dan gets away with the basura because he's been doing it long enough people assume he's worth listening to and two not enough people follow the sport close enough to really care if what he says is worthwhile or not.

He's good and bad, different sport follow different etiquete. If Boxing had a union you best believe he would keep his hole shut. I also believe if he was an MMA writer he would shut his face seeing a guy like DANA white would call him out and tear him to pieces

Other then the basic info I get from Fat Dan, reporting upcoming fights, schedules, cancellations, results, et al, I rarely read or listen to anything he has to say, he's proved over and over again that he's a clueless, bias, buffoon.

I dont understand the blind hatred for him by some members on this site. He is a good reporter.

And Shannon Brings was inexplicably accusing Rafael of conspiring to steal his pay check from the Klitschko fight.

Hmmmm, I don't know about "blind hatred", we've got good reasons for not liking the fat fuck, he's a good enough "reporter", but in my view, he's just not well liked by most of the boxing community, mainly because he's a full of himself, bias, baffoon. Are you his mother?

I don't know of a boxing journalist/pundit that isn't polarizing: Atlas, Kellerman, Sugar, Lampley, Merchant, Watt, Papa, Bernstein, Bunce, Kinney, etc....they all seem to have people that love them or hate them.

I'm certain this is only an issue because its public knowledge. I don't find Rafael to be too bad, he has some opinions I don't agree with but who doesn't?
