Default Professor IGNACIO BERISTAIN enters the HOF

    Boxing - Q&A: Nacho Beristain

Is professor Nacho one of the greatest trainers of all time or what? This man is a genius, Boxing's version of Albert Einstein. Freddy Roach needs to take notes from this man.

What are your thoughts on this old master?

Nothing against Nacho who clearly belongs, but shouldn't Cuyo Hernandez have gone in first?

As for Nacho, the man who trained that piece of boxing perfection Ricardo Lopez has my eternal gratitude.

And thanks again Mr. Beristain for distinguishing between the champions of yesterday and those of today.

Is there something the sanctioning organizations should change?
That the respect for the boxer prevails and that they protect his health and both personal and economic integrity. I think it is time for governments to look closely at this issue and put a stop to many fights. The boxing organizations are family consortiums or corporations and boxing has become a big free market of supply and demand.

Love that last comment living with the triumps and failures of the boxer. I have a feeling some of these trainers get the fighter while they're a hot commodity and then they loose once or twice and get abandoned

Just watched Michael Carbajal Humberto Gonzalez #3 today.

Beristans plan was delivered and executed to perfection. The commentators were bagging the whole idea for the first 5 rounds.

HAha pizza trays were being thrown all over the ring at the finish knocking off their head sets and everything in Mexico Citys celebration or maybe frustration at a controlled fight .

^^ Ive never seen a fighter with a punching form that was so beautiful and flawless as Finito's... His punches were so graceful yet deadly at the same time. This man was poetry....
