Thread: Ward/froch thoughts

Ok I know we seen these threads they are a dime a dozen!!
I was watching Abraham vs ward and froch vs Johnson and I couldn't see a big difference in speed/workrate between them I mean Abraham hit ward alot. And Johnson hit froch with the right alot but the big difference iv noticed is froch power, also froch jab that seems to hit dirrell at will. Now if u can hit dirrell who moved alot then surely hitting ward is easy

Logic dictates to me that Ward takes it via UD but Froch has this habit of getting the job done and making things tough for his opponent so its hard for me to truly pick against him. I do think he lost to Dirrel though so it could go the same way as that. A lot of people fancied Abraham to do him though and look what happened there!

Whatever happens this one almost certainly goes 12 rounds and will be a pretty close and probably disputed decision.

I see this fight going similar to the Dirrell fight. Ward will do his best to smother Froch on the inside and fight on the way out. Ward will be a lot stronger and committed to the wrestling on the inside. At the ends, it will be a stinker of a fight if Froch can't land something meaningful.

Abraham hardly threw punches. He has hard punches but he didn't land much. Ward has an awkward irritating style but like Dirrel, if Froch can't hit the target, he's in trouble. He got lucky with Dirrel because Dirrell refused to fight most of the fight. That's the only reason he got the decision against Dirrell, because Dirrell didn't want to fight most of the fight. The judges gave it to the man who wanted to fight. If Dirrell didn't run and hold 10 out of 12 rounds he would have got the decision. Froch just couldn't land a punch on him. He's going to have similar problems with Ward. Froch better work on speed and accuracy. Expect a lot of holding.

I really hope Carl kicks Ward's ass, that SOG shit makes me wanna barf. I will say this, win, lose or draw Froch will give it his best shot.

Is that SOG shit the only reason you would rather that Froch wins? I know you must not have the same reasons for hating Haye that you have for hating Ward...?

Cheat might not be the correct word, but he's far from what I would refer to as a clean fighter. I want to say ward wins this but hell froch often finds a way to win when I didn't think he had a chance. I just hope this isn't a stinkfest but I see it being one.

Like I said he's far from a clean fighter, and most anybody would agree with that assesment.

That may be true but i still think calling out "cheater" is overboard.

Let's clear this up!!

Is headbutting cheating Yes or no!
Is touching the ball with ur hand in soccer cheating??
Are p.e.d's in sport cheating??

I think all boxers are guilty if being dirty at times but I agree that ward has been more than others!!

No.
Is it cheating when it is your own personal opinion that it was an intentional headbutt?
Nope. Its still not cheating until an official calls it.

There it is. It is your opinion that he cheats, while it is mine that he performs within legal limits.

The officials agree with me.
