Default Will Haye learn from this??

Will he act with class in the future? He was out boxed and with a good toe he would have been ko'd.
But will this loss sort his breath of a thousand foreskins mouth out??

    Why would it?

I'm sure he'll be putting more stock into the millions that his mouth has earned him... the embarrassment his nouth may have caused will seem tiny by comparison... small to non-existent.

There was great hype for this fight, and I've been trawling through the multiple threads that are on here to see what people thought.

There are a few inescapable truths, methinks O my brothers and sisters:

    1. In the ring, Haye was quickly shocked by Wlad's mobility and speed. He will have sparred with big guys, but the Klits are somewhat freakish in that their size hasn't turned them into ponderous giants (like, say Valuev or any of the other big guys around at the moment). Haye's hands werent faster than Wlad's.

    2. I've never seen Wlad apply quite so much pressure to an opponent before, he stood right in front of Haye and then inched forward like an artillery barrage so that he was coming into range before Haye. Haye likes to plant his feet for power, and this pressure meant he was constantly moving backwards and was reduced to wild swings from distance with his feet off the ground or in the wrong position.

    3. Wlad's jab was magnificent. I'm not a Wlad fan, but it really was good on saturday. Allied with the pressure and the threat of the straight right, it was a good Plan A. Wlad didnt need a plan B against Haye because haye just didnt know what to do about that jab. The jab won him the fight. It was haye who got frustrated and kept going to ground too easily because he had no viable Plan B himself.

    4. After about 4 rounds, you could see the dawning realisation on Haye's face that he wasnt going to win. The whole fight then, quite frankly became something of a survival excercise for him so he could avoid being KO number 50.

    5. Haye is the wrong size. He is too big to be a long term cruiserweight and he is too small to realistically challenge behemoths like the Klit brothers. Its a shame because his talent, dedication and technical skills are very good. There is a good argument now to have a weight division between cruiser and heavy as a whole tranche of people will be in this weight limbo. It will become greater as the generations continue to grow and the average size of a human becomes what Haye weighs now.

    6. I disliked Haye's tasteless trash talking. It demeans the sport and it demeaned Haye. I think in genuinely make Wlad angry (but not angry enough that he lost his professionalism)

    7. Having said that, Haye did display a good chin and courage to see the fight through, though he did go into his shell. He tried to pull it out of the bag at the end too, so he definitely does have the heart of a true fighter.

    8. All this nonsense about his toe is just that ....... nonsense. He wouldn't have won the fight anyway and it was typically crass to bring it up right in the ring at the end. Haye is a professional athlete and it is his job to enter the ring in the best possible condition to win the fight. If he knew that the toe would hamper him, then he has cheated the fans. If he thought it wouldnt hamper him, then he should shut up.

    9. Not sure what happened to Adam Booth's much-vaunted tactical genius. Didnt see much evidence of that at the start, nor indeed in changing the game plan when Plan A wasnt working. Great trainers and great fighters can change their tactics during a fight.

and finally, 10) David ...... keep well away from big brother Vitali. He is bigger, hits harder, is tougher and takes a great shot (which you knew was your only chance against Wlad). You were never a heavyweight anyway, VItali may seriously damage you and you dont need that at this stage of your career.
