I am not a happy camper.
Cotto will stop Margo inside 5 rounds.
Yeah it's a scary fight, all the moral objections will only make it sell more though, has that kind of train wreck appeal. I think Margarito is scum and shouldn't be allowed to make a living in boxing, but I'll buy this PPV if I buy any this year, it is still a really intruiging fight. I'm not even a big fan of any fighters anymore really, but if Cotto managed to get revenge and beat Margo down it would be more satisfying than anything I've ever seen in a boxing ring. Wouldn't it be something if Tony's shots didn't have the same effect on Cotto this time around and Miguel wore him down late on? That would be a perfect way to put the cheat out of boxing with his reputation being deservedly tainted. I have no idea whether to believe Margarito used the illegal wraps against Cotto though, he clearly busted his face up but he was also landing some big shots while Cotto became increasingly fatigued, so hard to make a call due to the styles. No question it's a terrible match up for Cotto, so I'll just be hoping that Margarito has had a great deal beaten out of him since the first fight.
i will include Miguel in our Novena. Go Miguel!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a scary fight in terms of thinking about the ongoing health of the fighters. Really scary.
Three years ago these men were younger, quicker and likely had more punch resistance. That night Margarito hit Cotto over 260 times and Cotto hit Margarito 280 times. To put that in perspective, David Haye THREW about that many punches last weekend.
It is axiomatic in boxing that the older one gets the more often one gets hit. That is a frightening proposition in this case as these men are each three and half years older on fight night, each has been batterred at least once in the interim and it's likely at 154 that each hits harder than each did at 147. Maybe it is me, but I don't see a different Cotto under Manny's tutelage.
I don't know how long this lasts but it will be brutal. Neither guy at 154 has the agility or speed to dictate a boxing match. This will be a fight as long as it lasts.
My guess? Margarito has his number. But I wouldn't bet a nickel on my guess.
This is NOT a fight a guy like Steve Smoger should referee. This needs a guy a little more cautious with the fighters than he is. The corners also need to watch their guys closely.

I'm really interested to see this fight. It would be nice to see Cotto get his revenge, but i see Margs just walking him down and winning by stopage in the late rounds. Should be a helluva of fight though. Margs trying to prove it wasn't the wraps and Cotto trying to prove it was the wraps.
I wonder what made Cotto take this fight? Sheer bravery or an inkling that things will be easier this time around?
